A few weeks ago you wrote that Steelers DT Javon Hargrave will be “next at the checkout" after CB Joe Haden in regard to a contract extension. Do you still think Hargrave will sign an extension prior to the regular season opener?

Hi Gerry, exciting time leading up to the real season beginning!  Who do you think will be cut and turn out to be a star for another team at some point?  It just “feels” like we have a lot of raw young talent this year without enough roster spots to go around.  If you could give us your top 2 or 3 on the bubble it will be very interesting to see if they end up cut and where they end up (hopefully on our practice squad but not betting on it).  Thank you for your thoughts!

I don't know about anyone ending up a star, but I think a guy like Tuzar Skipper or Marcus Allen (if he's cut) or Jerald Hawkins could be solid players at some point.

Would a package of Dobbs and Eli Rogers be enough to tempt Indy into parting with one of their legit backup TEs (Mo Alie-Cox or Ross Travis).  Then maybe stash Duck on the practice squad and go with 2 QBs freeing up space for an extra WR (keeping Both Holton and Spencer)?

Well, for starters, they will never keep just 2 QBs. So that ain't happening. And there's no way both Holton AND Spencer make the team. Lucky if it's just one of them.

That will come down to who is the better special teams player. In each case, the players you mentioned are beaten out by Ryan Switzer

What do we know about Davis’s ankle?  Will he be ready to play in NE?  He’s missed a lot of time, is he going to be ready mentally, we can’t afford much less than 100% against TB! Thank you

G'morning Gerry. Why is it that Josh Gordon have been suspended for the 200th time, and didn't even serve a full year this last time. Is it because it's NE and why haven't teams even complained about them getting all the calls on and off the field?

Odds are not good at all to keep both. And odds are better they will keep Gilbert than Skipper.
