How about one Pro Bowl??

What is the difference between putting a player on IR with a return destination and keeping him on the initial 53 and THEN moving him to the IR?
Gerry Dulac
10:50
Nothing except there is a limit to how many players can be designated for return/brought back

Will Porter missing training camp negatively affect his performance this year especially considering the need to learn the new defense? If so, why would the team extend him now rather than let him earn it on the field?
Gerry Dulac

All contracts negotiated and offered are based on what they have already done on the field. Porter has earned a new contract

Rumors are that Porter wants to be the highest paid at his position in the league. How can he make those claims when every rating service lists many others as better? Would you trade him? Should he be worried about Samuel's play so far?

Many being the operative word here

Gerry, now that the 53 man roster is set do you expect any changes in the near future (cut candidates, free agent pick ups or players that made the initial 53 cut or put on practice squad)?
Gerry Dulac
10:52
That is always possible. That's why we refer to it as the initial 53-man roster

Gerry what do you think about Eli making the roster i think he looked good vs Buffalo
Gerry Dulac

Good for him.

Is Elliot’s career in jeopardy? The way this has been handled, from him looking very good in a preseason to being placed on IR with no apparent injury, is weird
Gerry Dulac
10:53
Apparent injury? He has a very serious knee/hamstring injury that he was recovering from.

No hometown discount for JPJ even though he is royalty and has family ties to the Burgh??   Would be nice to see him sign for 5-10% less (27-28M) with incentives - pro bowl, interceptions, etc.  I remember when Brady did this to make his team better.  With no playoff wins in almost 10 years; I would like to see players wanting wins more than How heavy their “bag” is.  Just had to vent a little.  We have all the leverage and can franchise him next year.  Hope we don’t fold.

I think you will see him sign for somewhere in the $25-$28 million range. Anything more will be shocking for a player who had never been to the Pro Bowl, has three career interceptions and is highly penalized.

OK kids, we're out of time. Thanx for all the questions. It's for real next week.
