P Queen has been very quiet, not the super fast linebacker making tackles all over the field that I was hoping to see. Am I missing something or could it be true that Roquan Smith made him look much better than he is, similar to the AB/JuJu dynamic?

Don't worry about PQ

Why did the O Line seem better the second half of the year when the running game was clicking? What is the problem with getting it going so far this season?
Gerry Dulac
10:41
You said it -- the second half. Give it time. They will be fine

Mitch Trubitsky's flaw purportedly is a failure to process and exploit passing opportunities available across the entire field. Does Fields suffer from the same shortcomings

Crazy as it sounds, Justin Fields has a long way to go to match what Mitch Trubisky has done in his career

I’m very impressed with the Steelers after 2 weeks.  New rookie center has played very well.  Backup LG has done well.  Running game has been successful.  The DBs have looked good with solid tackling.  Our new punter performed well.  We will find out more this weekend vs Chargers - hopefully the Offense will be opened up a little more!

Heyyyyy, how did this positive-sounding guy find his way into the chat???

Have you ever considered having Bill in LA submit to a drug test?

He had to pass one to enter the chat

I guess we now know the true value of a gunner on special teams. Who on the roster best serves this position?
Gerry Dulac
10:43
I'm lucky I know the gunners, let alone the best ones.

Hi Gerry. I'm sure the Steelers didn't see things playing out this way but if Justin remains the starter and has a good year with a playoff win there will be a bidding war for his services next year. You know the Steelers upstairs better than anyone; how do you think Rooney let's this one play out (this sounds like one he could be heavily involved in)? Would they even consider the franchise tag?

I think you're getting waaaay ahead of yourself

Gerry, I don't much like speculation about our team, preferring facts instead. But one column caught my eye: it's time to take the training wheels off Justin in order to properly evaluate his viability. Is opening the playbook a lot wider in Tomlin's wheelhouse or can we expect more of the same?
Gerry Dulac
10:44
Have you considered that maybe they know what will happen if they take the training wheels off him???

Gerry, The last two games told us the Steelers belong in the top half of NFL teams. The next game will tell us if they belong in the top third. Agree?
Gerry Dulac
10:45
That's a good way of looking at it!

Gerry, do you think Mike Tomlin has been pulling in the reins on the offense? The game plan for the first two games looked a whole lot like what we saw from Randy Fichtner and Matt Canada. In particular avoiding the middle of the field in the passing game. Does he loosen the reins this week against a more explosive Chargers team or does he continue to live in his fears?
Gerry Dulac

Of course he is. He has since Ben retired.

Hi Gerry always look forward to your Steeler coverage. We all know that Fields play and Stats are unacceptable but we have also been critical of the lack of a WR#2. Can we not blame some of Fields problems on the fact that the Steelers may have the worst WR room in the NFL?
Gerry Dulac
10:45
I don't buy that. QBs make WRs better, not the other way around.
10:46
OK kids, have to run to the locker room so that's all the time we have today. Thanx for all the questions. Sorry I can't answer them all.
