How's the home game attendance been compared to last year?  Sure looked like a lot of empty seats for the NE game in the first half at least.
Gerry Dulac
9:55
It was just one game. But I didn't think it was bad at all.

Hi Gerry:  Thanks for the Chats:  The when to start Pickett is clearly bubbling up as the #1 Steeler topic.  However, I think they should hold off until Canada is replaced so he can’t ruin Pickett.  Let the Veterans take the Canada nonsense and have Pickett watch and learn what NOT TO DO.   I’m sure KP already knows you don't throw 2-3 yard passes on the ground with a third and 8.

So, you think they should wait till next year?!?!

Optimist take: Steelers find their groove on offense. Big catches, Najee over 100, Friermuth!! Pessimist noise tamps down. Let's be happy hopeful fans people geez. Any chance in your mind?

I feel like I'm reading Billy Joel lyrics with that

Good morning Gerry.  Is it  just  me that thinks if Big Ben was still QB the Steelers are 3 and 0?  Only because he had the clout to to toss out this ridiculous excuse for a game plan and draw up plays in the Huddle.  That said it the receivers would need to catch the balls.  3 drops on deep passes.  Catch even one of them and the game is different.  Your never going to win with your defense playing 40 minutes per game.

I get your point and you might be right. But that doesn't excuse what we have seen from the defense the past two games.

Do you know where the Steelers stay when they play in Miami?

Yes.

Please settle the great debate this week on the insane catch by Pickens - "great" pass by Trubisky or did he get lucky a la Bradshaw with Stallworth a hundred times?
Gerry Dulac
10:00
It was an incredible catch. But, as a general rule, let me tell you and everyone else this -- great receivers do not make an average QB better; great QBs make average receivers better.

Good morning.  Will Kazee play immediately after his 3 game suspension or will he face additional discipline from the Steelers upon his return?  Thanks.
Gerry Dulac
10:00
No additional suspension. He was "punished" and will have served his time

Hello Gerry, lots of speculation, disagreements and noise out there.... Your inside opinion with offensive struggle's first 3 weeks.  OC, MT, or lack of execution by all 11 players?
Gerry Dulac
10:01
I think you forgot receivers not getting open
Johnny U
10:01
Do you think this is the least talented team MT has coached in the Burgh?  Thanks
Gerry Dulac
10:02
Not at all. In fact, I think they have some decent young talent, not to mention 97, 90 and 39

Huge Steeler fan, I think Tomlin is the best coach for Steelers. I do question his plan to stick with Trubisky. My question is, does it look like the receivers have lost confidence in their qb? I understand they get frustrated at times but it seems there is a lot of moments where the receivers think he made the wrong read. Will they eventually not try as hard knowing he’s not throwing to them anyway?
Gerry Dulac
10:03
Did you stop to think that maybe the QB doesn't have a lot of confidence in his receivers getting open (aside from 18)? Or that the receivers are running the wrong route and it's not the wrong read??

Do you think the day of defensive minded head coaches having success has passed?  All the top teams now have progressive offensive minded coaches.  It is becoming like the NBA with who ever has the ball last has a chance to win.  Thank you.
Gerry Dulac
10:03
There's no question the league has become that. But I'll give you two words -- Bill Belichick.

Do you believe the Steelers run defense will be good enough to keep them in games up until the bye week?
Gerry Dulac
10:05
Did you mean good enough or bad enough? After the Jets, they are have the Bills in Buffalo, Tampa Bay at home and road games in Miami and Philly -- and that's before the bye. They better be better, period.

Good morning Jerry! What's more likely this week? A strong performance from a reawakened Steeler team and a W for the good  guys? Or another lackluster performance from the big money D allowing young Zack Wilson and the Jets to fly town with a win?
Gerry Dulac
10:06
Something in the middle, though I'm not sure what that is.

Hi Gerry.  Have you heard if TJ’s recovery is on schedule?  Thank you!
Gerry Dulac
10:06
I have. It's a four-week recovery. He should be fine.

Good morning Gerry.  I saw that Najee said in an interview that he often has dinner at Tomlin's house.  It is widely known that Tomlin is a player's coach.  He dances with them, makes different rules for different players, and we have had many discipline problems recently - especially on field behavior.  Do you see this desire to be a friend by Tomlin leading to this lack of discipline?  I can't imagine Bradshaw dined at the Noll house too often.
Gerry Dulac
10:07
Haha, no he didn't. Coaches are like parents -- they are not supposed to be your pal.

Gerry, what is your take on the Thursday Night games being streamed on Amazon only?  Seems fans need to keep feeding the money hungry NFL even more… frustrating and disappointing.
Gerry Dulac
10:08
Agreed. I hate it. It's a disservice to the fans and another example of fattening the pockets of people who don't need fatter wallets

Who aged faster this past year Cam Hayward or Alualu?
Gerry Dulac
10:09
Alualu. At 35, it's tough to comeback from an injury that kept you out most of the previous season.
