Without too much difficulty could you insert Rooney for Nutting and Steelers for Pirates and be telling close to the same story for the last five or six years? Certainly, as far as the head coach is concerned, No?

There is nothing that would ever have me compare Art Rooney II to Bob Nutting when it comes to team ownership. The Pirates have been the antithesis of the Steelers for as long as you care to mention.

It's hard to quantify why Minkah hasn't been able to come up with takeaways. But it's not from a lack of effort. The guy is all over the field.

Thanks for your chats. It looked to me that the Cowboys had spread the field and had a lot of open receivers whereas the Steelers struggled to find open receivers. Comments as to what went wrong?

Good morning Gerry.  Most knew Pickens was a problem when we drafted him.  Those guys rarely behave better when they get paid.  We've seen this with 5-6 WR recently.  My question is why is Tomlin covering for him?  Doesn't that just enable this behavior?  Hasn't he learned from the past?  I couldn't imagine The Emporer enabling players like that.

Have you ever heard a more BS answer than what Tomlin said about reduced snaps for Pickens? That was politician level nonsense. If he benched him and doesn’t want to say so to protect the player just don’t answer the question. Why lie?

Well, here we are again Gerry. Another undisciplined receiver that has no consequence for his unprofessional actions. Obviously scouting reports on him revealed all these issues. Why does the Steelers organization continue to think coach T can change players like this when it has been proven he can’t/won’t take the necessary actions to do so?

Good morning Gerry, If you were to guess, what would it take for the Steelers to move on from Mike Tomlin? Obviously, he's not a great game manager or Xs and Os coach. Great motivator, yes, but that doesn't win (meaningful) games in the NFL.  If they were to have back to back losing seasons, does he still finish out his contract?
