I have seen a lot of desperation moves in the NFL over the years. But your last sentence is one of the reasons the Steelers are not investing, and will not invest, big-time guaranteed money in Bell. Don't forget the two knee surgeries. And he's randomly tested all the time. Not a wise investment.

Do you sense Art Rooney III has a different philosophy than his father or grandfather regarding the "Steelers Way?" Dan was different than Art. I'm just wondering if, in the coming years, we will see a shift in style.

Well, I think Dan had a different philosophy than his dad, the Chief. I think as the generations evolve, different styles and thought processes can as well. To your point, though, I think Art II embraces many of the same things as his dad and what you call the Steelers Way.
