With both Fields and Wilson needing a contract next year weren't we eventually going to have to see what Wilson has? We have seen what Fields has, not its Russ's turn.

What would you give up for Williams? 6th rounder, 7th? Not sure why we would give the jets any more than that, if anything at all. They don't need him and are paying him a ton.

But, if the Steelers traded for him, they would have to pay him  the remainder of the $15 million he is owed. Maybe that would make a little more sense closer to the trade deadline.

Hello . What percentage chance would you say Russel Wilson has to start this weekend ? I do not know what is wrong with ESPN talking heads giving an impression that it is travesty that Fields might not play . Fields has 5 touchdown in 6 games , with one interception, tied for 25th in league , and a QBR of 54 .

Nov. 5 at 4 pm is trade deadline. It was pushed back a week this year because of a proposal by -- that's right -- the Steelers

Gerry, I’ve seen you joined the local pgh sports media narrative for the need to start Wilson. Can you explain in detail why you would do this? Fields hasn’t turned the ball over that much. Has a winning record. Playing decent football and getting better.

I never said they need to start Wilson. What I have always said is they acquired Wilson for a reason and the time is now to execute the plan they had in mind. Kenny Pickett had a winning record, too, by the way. And, just for the record, Fields' NFL record is 14-30 as a starter.
