Thanx. He's getting better each game. I'm not going to break down his game because I'm not qualified to do that, but I will tell you what the coaches think. Ideally, they would prefer not to have thrown him to fire, but Morgan Burnett's lingering injury has forced that and forced Edmunds to play several different roles -- tough for a rookie. But he has stood up to the challenge.

Gerry, just out if curiosity if Woodley hadnt succumbed to injuries and Jason Worrilds hadn't abruptly retired how much different do you think this defense would be? We likely wouldnt have drafted Jarvis Jones or Bud Dupree.

The only player in the secondary that is playing well came in a trade. With another mid to hopefully late draft position in 2019 should they trade again to sure up the opposite CB position?

I am reading that the Steelers would be a good fit for Patrick Peterson as a trade partner for the Cardinals, yet everything I see from local media is basically saying it isn't going to happen.  Is this based on the Steelers past history in the trade market, or is there something else at play here?

I think you are a little spoiled. That was a mostly veteran group that was together for a number of years. This defense has two newcomers and three players in different positions. Give it some time.

Good point. There is a laundry list of them -- Keenan Lewis, Joe Burnett, Crezdon Butler, Curtis Brown, Cortez Allen, Terry Hawthorne, Doran Grant., Senquez Golson. You know the only one who did? William Gay.

Gerry, Why do the Steelers regularly not defer to receive the kickoff to the second half when they win the coin toss? No other team does this. Please don't say -"We don't live in our fears" It is a big psychological and tactical advantage to receive the kickoff at the start of the second half.
