Gerry, it doesn’t make sense what the Steelers are doing with their rookies right now. What is holding back Tomlin from starting Broderick Jones over Dan Moore? What miracle needs to happen for Broderick to get the starting nod?
Gerry Dulac
10:17
Ryan, I have to think the coaches want to play the best players, and if they felt Broderick Jones was better than Dan Moore right now, I think they would play him. Obviously, they don't think so.

What is the time table for Cam Heyward return ?
Gerry Dulac

Nov. 12 Green Bay

Not even being sarcastic… but do you think Tomlin and management see how this offensive scheme doesn’t even look like the rest of the league. It’s like middle school football. Thanks
Gerry Dulac
10:18
I always wonder myself what they think when they watch other offenses.

Are the Steelers disappointed in Mason Cole this year?? Will they look to upgrade through FA/Draft next year?
Gerry Dulac
10:18
No, not like some of the fans are apparently.
Derek
10:18
Who in their right mind would want to start Moore again???
Gerry Dulac
10:19
Tomlin. Pat Meyer. Why, you have a huge problem with Dan Moore?
Marc from Germany

Hi Gerry! Has any Coach given you a detailed answer yet on why not to start Jones, Peezy jr. and Benton? All I hear is "Well, that's how we roll." I think all 3 have earned it and fill acute needs.
Gerry Dulac
10:22
Keeanu Benton has played plenty right from the start. He has consistently played between 28 and 32 snaps every game. Believe me, that's not how they roll. That wasn't how they rolled with Ryan Shazier and Maurkice Pouncey and David DeCastro. Obviously, they don't feel line Jones and Porter give them the best chance to win right now. Again...right now.

That's right. Her and JoJo Starbuck

Will this offense ever utilize the middle of the field?
Gerry Dulac

The what??

Are Mike Tomlin's warts finally being exposed? Will the national media ever notice?
Gerry Dulac
10:23
No they won't.

MC will not be fired but the contract will expire at the end of the year and a new OC will take over.  Will we then get a better understanding of what Kenny is capable of?
Gerry Dulac
10:23
Maybe
Ryan Curry

From your perspective, will Chukwuma Okorafor be the starting RT for the Steelers come week 1 next year?
Gerry Dulac
10:23
He should be, why? You don't like him either??
Ryan Curry
10:24
Gerry, maybe I’m overreacting, but is there a chance Cam Heyward is dealt to a contender? With the emergence of Keeanu Benton, I feel as if a team might offer a good package for a run with Cam. He is getting up there in years, and we may want to take Draft capital over an aging Cam off a major groin injury.
Gerry Dulac
10:24
I would say you're overreacting

Do you see the team being active by the trade deadline?
Gerry Dulac
10:25
Active in terms of trading for a top-tier player? No. Maybe making a deal if they get the right offer? Possibly. Don't forget, there are always teams looking for QBs, especially during the season when injuries occur

Worst case scenario, is there any chance that the Steelers extend Canada?
Gerry Dulac
10:26
I wouldn't put any money on that

10:26
Isn’t all the vitriol directed at Canada misplaced? This team is 100% the responsibility of Tomlin. He has a major hand in player acquisition. He hires all the coaches. He approves of every game plan. He hears every play sent in and therefore tacitly approves of them. Maybe the fans have accepted Tomlin will never be held accountable and just need to vent on someone who will.
Gerry Dulac
10:27
JBD, you are correct. Every coach hire, every offensive and defensive philosophy, is mandated by the head coach. But, that doesn't mean an asst coach/coordinator will get another contract from the Rooneys at the end of the season. Just ask Bruce Arians how that works.

If the team is built on the draft but they've only drafted one Pro Bowler in recent years (Watt), do you seem them taking bigger swings to paper over holes during free agency versus middling talent they seem to get year-in, year-out (Daniels, Cole, etc)?
Gerry Dulac
10:27
I hope not.

I saw a study where the Steelers’ receivers are the least open in the league forcing Kenny to be the most ‘aggressive’ QB in the NFL. Couple that with Pickett on track to be sacked nearly 50 times is it any wonder why this offense stinks?
Gerry Dulac
10:28
That's a large part of it, for sure. That's  why they miss DJ

Hi Gerry. Is there concern about how Kenny Pickett has not shown that 2nd year leap within the Steeler leaders? Any sense of what steps they are taking to help him improve?
Gerry Dulac
10:29
I don't know that there is concern right now, but I'm not going to sit here and tell you they are thrilled with his development in year two

Do you foresee Patrick Peterson and Allen Robinson as one-and-done type players?
Gerry Dulac
10:29
Probably.

Gerry,  Kenny has shown some improvement but still lacks in accuracy, timing, and pocket presence.  I think Canada's office is too complicated for him and the reason that even Ben shelved it in games.  Your opinion?
Gerry Dulac
10:31
So, if he's lacking in those areas, where, pray tell, do you see improvement?? And I don't think MC's offense is too complicated. If anything, it's too inflexible.
