With Hopkins going to the Chiefs for a 5th round pick, another WR has gotten away from the Steelers. Will the Steelers get off their butt and make a better effort to get someone, like maybe Cooper Kupp?
Gerry Dulac
10:37
Like I said earlier, maybe the Steelers weren't interested in Hopkins. But I get your point. Teams like the Chiefs, 49ers and Tampa Bay are desperate for WRs because of injuries. The Steelers aren't at the desperation stage...yet

Now that we finally have a QB who can decipher a D and distribute the ball properly, do you believe that raises the stakes and makes landing an impact WR in trade more likely? If so, who would be your guess on the WR?
Gerry Dulac
10:38
It actually might do the opposite -- discover that the WR corps isn't that bad when you have a future HOF QB

Will Mike Williams or Cooper Kupp be a Steeler before the deadline? Who is the better fit?
Gerry Dulac
10:38
Cooper Kupp would be the better fit

Been seeing alot of rumors lately of us trading Justin Fields do you see any truth to that? Me personally think that would be a bad move.

None whatsoever. And thanks for asking because it reminds me to tell all those out there who think the Steelers might do that. They have always believed in having at least one quality backup, and usually two, because they believe QB is the most important position in the league, if not all of sports. Look back over the years and you will see that's true. That's why they traded for Fields. They want backup support in case of injury. They are not trading Fields, ok

Should the Steelers move Watt around a bit to keep him from being neutralized like the Jets did? I know he was double teamed but doesn’t he still have to make a play?
Gerry Dulac
10:41
Oh, he still makes plays, witness the Raiders game

Gerry, do you think there's one move this team could make before the trade deadline that would make them a serious Super Bowl contender? If not, should they not save every pick they can in hopes of being that team next year?
Gerry Dulac
10:41
I'm not sure they are a "serious" Super Bowl contender, regardless of any potential move.

Hello Gerry. Now that the Steelers have turned the qb page and appear to be gaining some MO, would you rate them slightly behind or majorly behind the Ravens, Chiefs and Bills in the AFC and why ?
Gerry Dulac
10:42
I would put them behind the Ravens and Chiefs, for sure.

Gerry- Props to the OL for their performance on Sunday. McCormick seems like he is playing above his draft position. Love his play demeanor as well.    Could he usurp Wilson as rookie. If the year for us?
Gerry Dulac
10:42
McCormiick has been fantastic. But right now I'd say Zach Frazier is your rookie of the year

Can you talk about how the younger players have developed this season? Have there been any surprises from your perspective?
Gerry Dulac
10:44
To a degree, in that I didn't think Zach Frazier would be THIS good. And pretty much the same with Payton Wilson and Mason McCormick

how is fautanu progressing? Will he be back by the end of the season?
Gerry Dulac
10:44
They have their fingers crossed he could be ready for the postseason, if they get there, but that's a slim hope.
10:45
OK, kids, gotta run to the locker room. That's all for today. Bye week next week so I will be going bye bye. See you in two weeks
