Yes I do, and yes he does. Joe Haden is a pro's pro. Has it all. Good locker room guy, good teammate, good player. Gets it.

Rumors are the Steelers are interested in CB's Conley of the Raiders and Jenkins of the Giants.  Would the constitute an improvement of what we already have?

I know that the Steelers don't make such trades. However, there seems to be more talk than usual around trading for P2. Is this just national media creating a story or is there actual validity in it?

It's not that the Steelers wouldn't consider a trade for Peterson. It just depends on the price. It's like when they said they would like to sign LeV Bell to a long-term contract. Sure they would....but for about $5 million a season, not at Bell's asking price. They would trade a No. 2 and another player for him, I bet, but they don't believe in trading away a future No. 1 and I don't think they are going to start now.

Hi Gerry, I know he's been gone 2 years now, but wouldn't someone like Jarvis Jones be smart to plug in given their depth at MLB, which was his more natural position anyway? He knows the scheme, and would come cheap
Gerry Dulac
11:30
Uh, no.

Any idea why Troy still has such enmity for the organization?
Gerry Dulac
11:30
I do not and I remain surprised that he does, if indeed he does.

With these OLB's I see a return of James Harrison on the horizon, TJ is only good in spots, Dupree obviously a bust

See a doctor. Your vision needs adjusted.

Any real signs the Steelers that the Steets are showing interest in Conley or Jenkins. Are either of them considered an upgrade this far into the season. They would have to get on the same page with the defense which has been the biggest issue they've had the past few years.

Gerry,  At this stage is there one pro bowl candidate on this D?
Gerry Dulac
11:32
Yeah, Cam Heyward. Joe Haden wouldn't be a reach. If TJ Watt keeps piling three-sack games, he will get consideration.

Gerry, with Oakland and NYG unloading players, do you see a new era starting in the NFL that resembles the NBA (tanking for higher draft picks) and MLB (losers sell and winners buy)?    Also, these trends do not seem like the fit with Pittsburgh’s business model.   How will they deal with this trend?
Gerry Dulac

What I see happening in the NFL more and more are the amount of trades. It's starting to look like the NHL and the NBA. Going back a couple years, the Steelers have been a big participant in the late preseason and early season with guys like Josh Scobee, Brandon Boykin, Vance McDonald

why are the Steelers reluctant to be more proactive with the roster when they need to be.  Not really talking about the P2 situation but teams that are winning championships now like the Pats and Eagles are more active on the trade and free agency front.  Its great we win games, they are winning championships.  Seems lazy to me.
Gerry Dulac

The only team winning championships, as in plural, as you state, are the Patriots. I think the Steelers approach speaks for itself.

So why wont the team cut Bell now? I understand getting compensation for him one way or another but is the compensation at this pont even worth his antics and selfishness? He has been nothing but a distraction and are they really content with paying him to split time with Conner the rest of the way?
Gerry Dulac

Has to sign the franchise tag first.

Is Eli Rogers practicing and when can he be added to the 53? Your thoughts on if he can help the offense.

No

Bell could have shown up week one and pulled a groin or hamstring aka James Harrison thought process, so at least give him a little credit for allowing us to free up some cap space
Gerry Dulac
11:38
Right. And you have to admit ...it might be stupid to do but give him some amount of credit for being honorable by walking away from $853K a week.
OK kids, we're out of time. Thanx for the questions
