Gerry. Ray Fittipaldo says Pickens antics “aren’t good for the team” Do you agree?
Gerry Dulac
10:18
I don't think players who behave like that are good for anything. Other players get tired of it real quickly

Hi Gerry, do you think Tomlin is more concerned with Pickens attitude then he let on during his press conference?
Gerry Dulac
10:18
Of course.

Hi Gerry, What do you believe will be the most important decision that the organization will need to make at the end of the year? And do you believe that it will be done?
Gerry Dulac
10:19
I think we all know what that will be. And, yes, it will be done.

Who trades up and uses the 14th pick in the draft on a RT?
Gerry Dulac
10:19
I guess the Steelers. But that has happened with other teams as well who draft a LT and then use him early at RT. That wasn't the Steelers plan and I don't think Jones being at RT is permanent.

Hi Gerry:  Thanks for the chats.  I was hearing a lot of pundit barking that KP holds on to the ball too long and takes too many sacks.  Looking at actual NFL data he has taken 17 sacks thus far, making him #21 in most sacked. Fewer than Lamar Jackson, Prescott, Hurts, Fields, Wilson, Herbert, Stafford, Lawrence, Carr, Geno, Burrow, Stroud, etc. The WRs have dropped as many passes as he has surely missed open receivers.  What he truly lacks is a TE to run 5 yards and go down on third and short.  Imagine what he would do with an Evan Engram type. I remain optimistic when Freiermuth returns.....
Gerry Dulac
10:22
Sometimes it's not about the sacks; it can also mean he is missing guys who are open coming out of their breaks. He also does a good job of throwing the ball away to avoid the sack, which is another reason is completion percentage is not very good.

In a previous chat you said Will Levis fell in the draft because he was nothing more than Taysom Hill. Have you changed your mind at all after watching Levis' start two games? He does seem to have above average arm talent and pocket presense.
Gerry Dulac
10:23
I have, and I have taken back everything bad I said about him, even on radio. I was very impressed watching him against the Steelers. He has the look of a franchise QB, without question

Good Morning Gerry! Will Najee Harris be the next player to cop an attitude as his game touches are reduced?
Gerry Dulac
10:23
Not like Pickens

Good morning Mr. Gerry!! Keanu Benton didn’t show up big on the stat sheet Last Thursday but sure heard his name called a lot from the broadcast. Do you think he might end up being the defensive lineman they have been looking for for a while now?
Gerry Dulac
10:24
I do, and you are correct. He was a disruptive player the other night. The stats do not indicate how well he played. Now, all they need is a big-time, first round stud to replace Cam Heyward.

There were a lot of flags thrown in the Titans game, especially on the opening Titans drive that seemed to extend the drive multiple times. Do you know if there's an increased focus on playing clean this week when so many flags allowed Tennessee to stay in that game?
Gerry Dulac
10:25
Any time a team is highly penalized, which the Steelers were vs. the Titans (10 for 80 yards), there is an increased emphasis on being more disciplined in those areas. Doesn't mean it will work, but the focus is increased.

Hi Gerry, your coworker Ray said yesterday the Steelers don't win XLIII without Holmes. I beg to differ as the guy getting him the ball WAS and STILL is the difference in that game, and is also the RIGHTFUL MVP not Holmes. (I say the MVP because ANY other QB who makes that drive wins it)
Gerry Dulac
10:27
Bingo!! That Ben wasn't the MVP of that game was a disgrace. Nothing against Santonio Holmes at all, but if Tom Brady or Peyton Manning orchestrated that drive, who do think would've been the SB MVP??

Why did Tomlin say he moved Canada to the sideline to “get better”, but then downplayed it’s impact on the outcome of the game?
Gerry Dulac
10:29
I don't think he ever said get bettter. I think he said he needed to do something to get the offense untracked. But I don't think he downplayed the impact it had on the game. He acknowledged the reviews were good. Plus, I don't think Canada going to the sidelines was the reason they won the game. Let's see what happens going forward.

Would you consider bringing JuJu back to round out the receiver room next year, assuming he's healthy and cheap, or spend a top 4 pick to add to the DJ, Pickens, Austin squad?
Gerry Dulac
10:30
Draft pick is a better idea. But I never had a problem with JuJu, other than he gets hurt a lot

What good does it do for Tomlin to come out and publicly defend Pickens?  I see nothing positive coming from it.  At best, nothing changes.  At worst, he just gave Pickens free reign to amp of his stupidity.
Gerry Dulac
10:31
That's what he says publicly. Doesn't mean that's what he does privately.

Gerry  , do you think the Steelers might be better with Darnell Washington at TE than Friermuth . The run game was excellent last week  with Washington starting  . Or would they be better off with a guy who mainly catches six yard passes and everyone gets to go Muuuuth .
Gerry Dulac
10:31
No. They're better off using two of them.

It looks like the Bears and Cardinals will be getting a top 5 draft pick and may move on from Fields and Murray. If Pickett continues to play as he has for the remainder of the season, should the Steelers be interested in either of these quarterbacks and move on from Pickett? Thank you
Gerry Dulac
10:32
I don't think that's in their plans. If it were, it certainly wouldn't be Murray.

10:32
hi gerry.  if things go pretty much as they have been what do you see their biggest hole on D?  DB or DL
Gerry Dulac
10:33
I've stated it many times -- their plan in the draft should be a DE with the first pick. If not, they deserve all the blame they get

10:33
You are on record as saying the Steelers need to draft a stud DL. Why can’t Brenton be that guy?
Gerry Dulac
10:35
See, there you go...a perceptive guy. Benton is good piece to start. But you need more than one guy on the D-line. They need to get another Cam Heyward. You better hope they realize that.

Is there any chance that the league will make roughing calls -- esp against the QB -- reviewable? Some of these calls across the league are simply terrible, and they have real game consequences.
Gerry Dulac
10:36
Yes they are, but the league has been concerned with speeding up the pace of play, not slowing it down. That would do it.
