I think he is asked most weeks about the play of his inside LBs. We have also learned what to expect of such questions.

Boy tomlin drops a mobile qb jn every presser these days.    Just scream Marcus Mariota or Tyrod Taylor will be on our roster in 2022.   What do you think about Tomlin comments

If you are relegated to bringing in Tyrod Taylor, you are desperate and have big-time problems. The Steelers are not and do not.

I think his injury comeback is more physical. Doesn't mean other issues such as bad gaps or blown assignments aren't mental lapses.

Gerry I believe bad play calling has more than a little to do with our bad offense at times. I find it hard to believe Najee can't get five yards in 3 tries from the 5 yard line or less.

Has anyone had a chance to ask Canada about not using Najee at all from 5 yards out? I know Tomlin said first down as wan RPO but what about 2nd and 3rd?

First off, nobody said it was coaches. Secondly, I wouldn't call it a report. That makes it sound as though it was some attempt at journalism. And, third, it was WARMUPS for gosh sakes. Warmups!!!

Gerry.   In all your years of covering Steelers.  Have you seen a less physical tandem at middle linebacker.  I’m trying to think of it.   We have been know to always be physical but these two guys catch guys and not tackle.   How long would it take to get Vince back here.  Haha

To your first part, no. That ship sailed when they couldn't swing a deal before the trade deadline. And I wouldn't call Loudermilk a future star, but I think he gets better every game.

Hi Gerry. Haven't heard any backlash about the report that D Haskins was "lazy" and busy checking his phone before the Lions game. Is it true, and is it any big deal? He was the backup during the game and it seems like a very bad look.

Hi Gerry, thought Rudolph did OK but what struck me was wfat little zip he had on almost all of his throws, especially the sideline outs. A lot of floaters that looked like an  Eephus pitch. I get that he doesn’t have a Ben arm but it is strong enough to make those sideline outs and throw the deep ball effectively?

Well, I hate to break it to you, but there is nothing wrong with the zip on Rudolph's arm. He can bring it, trust me. But, to your question, I will say this -- I thought he didn't drop back far enough in the pocket and was throwing with a high motion that caused a lot of high passes. I thought some of those passes you referenced were dangerous because he was throwing from the far hash to the sideline, which is a long way to go for a 5- or 6-yard gain.
