what irks fans more about the poor play of the D this year?   The fact that they are highest paid or MT’s blow hard talk about dominating this year?  Or all of the supposed great coaching on that side of ball?

That highest paid stuff is overblown because most of the money is tied up with 2 players, and deservedly so -- Watt and Fitzpatrick.

What market does Mason Rudolph really have after this season in the NFL? Is someone really going to make him their starting quarterback? If not, he's just a high end back up that the Steelers can resign for $ 1-2 million.

No. But someone will take him as a backup, which is better than how he is being used now.

Over the cap and Sportrac says Tuitt counts $4.8M against the cap 2023. Is that correct? I thought once a player retired any future cap hits are accelerated.

That is correct. Tuitt, Ben and JuJu combine to count $21 million against the cap this year.
