Much like they did with the running game this past offseason, everything should be in play-- how they do it and who they're doing it with.

Call me crazy but I think the offensive line continues to improve - Ben’s lack of mobility makes them look far worse than they appear.
Gerry Dulac
11:37
Now that's an optimist
Jim
11:37
Am I way off thinking Ben would be playing much better with an NFL line instead of a college one? Worst line in the NFL, no one could be productive behind these guys.
Gerry Dulac
11:37
Not at all.
Krugerrand
11:37
At what point is not putting Mason Rudolph in a blowout loss an indictment against him?  Are not those missed reps a loss to the team's future growth?  Or, was the goal to get Ben sent to IR?
Gerry Dulac
11:38
It's not an indictment at all.  Ben is their QB, just like Cam Heyward is their DE.

With all the glaring holes on the roster, wouldn’t it make sense to  just pay Aaron Rodgers 40-50 million/year?  I realise it’s not the steeler way but wouldn’t these same Steelers be a super bowl contender with Rodgers instead of Ben?
Gerry Dulac
11:38
Nope. And I'm a big Aaron Rodgers fan.

Is this team capable of bouncing back with the remaining schedule or at least looking respectable?
Gerry Dulac
11:39
Of course they are. I always remember something Dick LeBeau told me once during a painful stretch -- "I've seen sicker dogs than this get well in a hurry."
Jim
11:39
What has happened to this team, need better players, need heart, need discipline, need new HC?
Scott
11:40
Thanks for your work. What are the main reasons you would give for the Steelers being so weak in the trenches?
Gerry Dulac
11:40
Lack of big-time talent (except for Cam of course). I think people need to be reminded they lost three Pro Bowlers on the offensive line and two starters on the defensive line.
Retire 21

Sad to see Tiger basically admitting he’s pretty much toast. I wish he would have gotten up and down from “Big Mouth” on 17 at Oakmont because he would have dusted Cabrera in a playoff. Speaking of big mouths , where here in the area can we get some of those Bryson endorsed Koepka Cupcakes.?
Gerry Dulac
11:41
The members at Oakmont wish he would have too.
Jim
11:41
Am I wrong thinking this team is closer to Detroit than Cincy in terms of talent, discipline and coaching?
Gerry Dulac
11:41
Yes.
Jim
11:41
Did Tomlin shoot himself in the foot by stubbornly playing his starters late last week? Looks like PF will be out this week and we need him badly. Another bonehead move in a long line of boneheaded moves by the HC?
Gerry Dulac
11:42
Injuries happen. You can't take everyone out of the game. They were already without Ebron. Someone has to play TE
Jim
11:42
On a positive note, all we need for next year is a new Oline, a few Dlinemen, new ILB'S and new CB's. How in the word do we get that done though, is it possible?
Gerry Dulac
11:42
That's an awfully big Christmas list

Why was Shazier’s number 50 used?  We’re there no other options? That number belongs to Ryan and David Little
Gerry Dulac
11:44
With all due respect to Shazier, why should his number be untouchable (or, in this instance, unwearable)?
Retire 21
11:44
Following some recent departures,  Conner and Hilton doing well. I guess we’ll see Big Al Sunday. Glad they didn’t sign Dupree. What Steeler would you have liked back?
Gerry Dulac
11:44
Pouncey. DeCastro.
Henry
11:45
Is Devin Bush Colberts biggest draft blunder?
Gerry Dulac
11:45
Artie Burns

If Tuitt is healthy and not playing, how can he ever look Cam Heyward in the eye.
Jesse G
11:45
gerry you are around this team a lot more than the media , the media says Kieth butler isn’t the one running the defensive Calls or scheme . That it’s all Mike Tomlin. Is this true ?
Gerry Dulac
11:45
Jesse, I've been telling everybody that for three years.

Good morning Gerry,  thanks for the chats.  I think the #53 experiment should be over.  Usually, you see some improvement as a rookies year goes on, butI'm seeing  a regression.  He's just too small to be a center..thoughts?  Could he play anywhere else on the line?
Gerry Dulac
11:47
If he's too small for center, then isn't he too small for guard, too? I admit, he has struggled with big NTs. I don't think they have many options to have the "experiment" be over. And it was never an experiment.

There was a video of Bush playing on a Bengals extra point attempt (maybe a field goal.)  The ball was snapped and he never moved a muscle. Stood perfectly still while everyone else rushed to block. He turned, watched the ball go though he uprihten gged off.
Gerry Dulac
11:48
Not much different than some other plays we've seen.
The GM
11:48
Good morning Gerry. The Steelers are taking a lot of heat after that embarrassing defeat last Sunday, and they should. Everybody says they are a soft team, players keep hinting that they need practice with more intensity. So my question is this, does the team often take on the personality of their Head Coach?
Gerry Dulac
11:50
Of course they do. But, before you think Mike Tomlin is soft, don't. He's all about being a physical team. And when you hear veteran or star players talking about practice, they're not talking about the length of practice or intensity. What they are really saying is that there are too many guys not practicing or focusing hard enough.
Keith F

How can there be any positivity heading into Ravens week after all the trouble containing Herbert and Burrows? Can we really afford to designate a player in the secondary to contain and not get burnt in the passing game?
Gerry Dulac
11:50
Nope.
David

I really don't see the Steelers being competitive with MR as our starting QB. I don't endorse Haskin either. Among MR, Haskins, Trubisky, Darnold, a rookie QB, who would you go with? I know the list is not something you would be excited.
