do the steelers have a replacement for Queen?   he does not cover well----looks more like Devin Bush.   Too much $$$ for mediocre play.
Gerry Dulac

Congrats. You're observation is the one today that is furthest from the truth.

Hi Gerry, love your chats and perspectives.  How could the Bills run the same 2 running plays over and over so successfully?  How was that not noticed by the coaches and not adjusted for with a different scheme? In a league where everything is analyzed in real time by countless eyeballs with professional experience, it makes no sense. Help me understand, please.
Gerry Dulac
10:43
That's not the scheme, that's on the players. Just ask TJ Watt. He said as much

Good morning, Gerry. When is enough an enough?  Feels like we’re watching the “Steeler” version of Groundhog Day.  I understand why the Rooney family like stability at the HC position but all good things come to an end. Change is good and will be for both the organization and MT, unfortunately we might be watching “Steelers” Groundhog Day for many more years……
Gerry Dulac
10:44
Sadly SSJ, you might be right.

Good morning Gerry. All the high priced moves the Steelers made this year has obviously failed. Tomlin has taken much of the criticism and rightfully so. But shouldn’t Kahn be held accountable for the moves also?I don’t see many people criticizing him. It starts at the top. Thoughts?  Thank you
Gerry Dulac
10:45
It does start at the top, and when it comes to roster building, it's the guy at the top -- Mike Tomlin, nearly every bit of it. See earlier answers for further explanation

How has the ILB play been this far in your opinion? They have been thru several LBs and coaches in recent years…
Gerry Dulac
10:45
I don't have a problem with it the way so many others do.

Will the Steelers actually start with Porter, Samuels, Dugger, and Ramsey?  Entire group looks weak, easy to victimize...
Gerry Dulac
10:46
I'll let them know
Bill

Gerry, TJ Watt and the fans were frustrated that the Bills ran the same play over and over again and we couldn’t stop it. Why didn’t the Steelers make any in game adjustments to play less nickel and move some bigger bodies to Watt and Porter’s side to stop what they were doing? We had Porter one on one on the edge against their RB which obviously is an unfavorable match up for us and the results proved it. It looks like their coaches were smarter than our coaches.
Gerry Dulac
10:47
Runs around the edge? Whose fault is that?? Not Porter. He actually did a good job preventing  much longer runs, if not TDs

time to let Heyward and Watt move on---get on with life's work?   lots of $$$ with little to show
Gerry Dulac
10:47
It might be headed in that direction Cliff

Hi Gerry....let's assume that all of us "Fire Tomlin" People get our way....what would this mean to the front office? Do you think that the "Khan-ed Man" would also go? There have been some horrendous personnel moves the past few years, but I am not sure if it was Omar or MT making the moves.....BUT even if they were MT's  decisions, it doesn't speak well for Omar's ability to take control of the job!
Gerry Dulac
10:50
Well, I don't think the "FT" people are going to get their way because I don't see them firing him, not at all. So, let me get this straight.....everyone hails and applauds Omar Khan for the moves he makes in the offseason, but when those players don't perform or be utilized by the coaches it's his fault? He only brings them in, and -- I'll say it again -- at the coach's request.

Hey Gerry, in recent years I've been a Tomlin defender. But now I feel like we're hitting the definition of insanity with expecting a different result after using the same practices. What are the chances Tomlin is out as HC? I'm assuming it would be phrased as a "mutual parting of ways" out of respect for his long tenure and success?
Gerry Dulac
10:52
That's right. How long will you continue to watch the same old repetitive thing and expect it to change? Pillsbury bringing it.

Gerry, with Aaron Rodgers hinting again that he’ll play beyond 2025, have you heard any buzz around the league about how his decision could affect the veteran QB market the Steelers might be exploring this offseason?
Gerry Dulac
10:52
The Steelers are not exploring any veteran QB market this spring.
Steelman
10:52
Wow!! Brutal game. Do you think having a 42 yr old wounded QB that can't run the full play book was a great idea?
Gerry Dulac
10:52
He wasn't the only one with a bad game

Hi Gerry....who has the ear of Art Rooney2, if anybody? Is there anyone who he currently consults with or might consult with in putting together a plan forward this offseason?
Gerry Dulac
10:53
There are a few people

You look at the good young QBs on rising t and to me the root cause of all this Groundhog Day seasons is the huge swing and a miss on Kenny Pickett?
Gerry Dulac
10:53
That's a good starting point.
Latham Pillsbury
10:53
A follow up question: Whether Tomlin is here at least another year or not - Do we see firings/changes at OC & DC? Even if Tomlin is somehow still here you can't continue with this grouping because it's not working
Gerry Dulac
10:53
Again, spot on

Gerry we need to blow up the defense, find a quarterback for the future (not another band aid), and get WR help....going to be a process for sure!
Gerry Dulac
10:54
Other than that, they're fine, right? But you are right.

10:54
Good morning Gerry, with the current state of the Steelers roster (needs almost everywhere) and what seems to be a lackluster QB class, what would you do with all the 26' draft capital? Trade up for QB or BPA (CB, DL, OL, WR, LB)
Gerry Dulac
10:55
Haha, Bill in PA. Love the moniker twist. That's why I took the question because I'm out of time. Finding the QB is priority No. 1. Everything else is a distant second
OK, kids, that's all we got today. Try it again next week. Thanx
