Win or lose, it seems the Steelers continue to repeat patterns: player behavior, ultra conservative play calling, slow starts (the stat that the Steelers have not scored more than 7 offensive points in an opening quarter 60+ straight times is almost hard to contemplate).which is directly related to game planning and coaching.  When will enough be enough?  I fear that moment will not come before the end of the 2027 season - and that makes me sad.  HNY…

What evidence did the coaching staff and front office have that the WR room was “varsity”?  They had one guy, period - and some hope.  Hope is NOT a strategy!

Actually, that is something very similar to what Tomlin tells his players -- Hope is not part of the game plan. Or something like that

Happy New Year, Gerry.  What is going on with the development of Roman Wilson?  Is he struggling in practice or is this just a case of Rodgers not wanting to throw to him.  If the later, why?

Rodgers can't throw to him if he's not playing. He played 9 snaps in Cleveland. Somebody must not like him, and I don't think it's Tomlin, not after the way he talked him up last week when he was asked about replacing Metcalf

Despite the disaster in Cleveland, is there not a clear path to 'survive' the Ravens (with RBs/TEs) and then get a rested, remorseful and rejuvenated Metcalf back for a playoff run? (The AFC is full of unproven or semi-flawed teams)

What was that green stripe down the middle of the field in the Brown's stadium last week?  Will there be a similar stripe on the field at Acrisure Stadium this Sunday evening?

That's where the field was re-sodded -- right between the numbers and nowhere else. The Steelers don't do that. When they re-sod, they do the entire field, not just portions.

Can the Steelers bring back D.K, back if they lose on Sunday? The fans aren't going to forget his selfish act going into next season?

As ugly as the Browns game was, there were some real easy things that - had they gone differently - the Steelers might have won easily. I'm thinking of multiple third-down throws where the receiver dropped an easy pass or didn't get their head around in time, the Sawyer INT that had it been intercepted by almost anyone else on the team would have been a pick-six cause he's slower, the Herbig dropped INT that would have been a pick-six. After a few days to let the emotions settle, is there a chance we overreacted a bit to a rivalry loss?

Why do most of fans and local media want a coach to be fired when he has had 19 non losing seasons, a super bowl win, many playoff appearances and many division championships? Where is the respect and loyalty?

It's not all the fans, just the ones that expect a Super Bowl every year. They exist in every NFL city, by the way

If the Steelers lose, which is more likely than not given the rosters and momentum, would it ever dawn on HCMT that it’s time to move on with his life’s work?  Would the Steelers ever say, look “we had a great run, change is inevitable, work with your agent and find something special”.

Imagine this scenario: Steelers win their last game.  They go to the playoffs with Metcalf along with a healthy Watt & others.  They win a playoff game.  Could the coach that many wanted fired end up being coach of the year?
