I think I'll wait to see if they get to the Super Bowl
Scott in NC
10:35
Is there any explanation of why Rodgers threw 9 times in the direction of Valdes-Scantling when it is clear that Freiermuth is much better in making contested catches, not to mention getting open?
Gerry Dulac
10:37
There is none whatsoever Scott in NC. It's even more incredible that NONE of those final three throws in the direction of MVS went to 88. I have never come away from any game at any time so baffled by the play calls and decision-making that I saw in Cleveland.

Did the fine fit the crime for DK? Could the Steelers have escalated the appeal to a higher level last week? One game makes sense but 2 is outrageous. Thanks for what you do for us all year.
Gerry Dulac
10:38
That was the highest level.

Same old story.  For ten years this team's standard is "Mike Tomlin's never had a losing season". When does this crap end?  It's clear they need a new direction.  When is Art going to retire and hire Dan to run the operation??  The Cleveland loss was one of the worst of the past ten years.  Just awful
Gerry Dulac
10:39
If the Steelers lose to the Ravens and miss the postseason, that Cleveland loss will go down as more than one of the worst in the past 10 years. It will be THE worst in the past 19

Good Morning Gerry! If the Steelers lose this weekend do you think we’ll see any change in staff personnel. I don’t see them moving off from Tomlin, but would they part ways with Terryl Austin or Arthur Smith?
Gerry Dulac
10:40
I think you will see some changes in staff personnel if they lose Sunday
Takoma Tom
10:40
A lot of fans want the ravens to blow the Steelers out on Prime Time so Tomlin will possibly get fired.  Doesn’t AR2 realize this?
Gerry Dulac
10:40
Fans or ambulance-chasers?

10:41
The pessimism seems to boil over for Sunday's game.  A bad game in Cleveland.  The DK thing.  Statistics like the Ravens defense ranks 29th in passing yards allowed vs the Browns defense being number 1.  TJ might play.  Harmon is back.  The odds have the Steelers as 3.5 underdogs.  Honestly, isn't there a good argument that the Steelers have a good chance of winning?  It is always one game at a time.
Gerry Dulac
10:41
Yeah, they just beat them three weeks ago in Baltimore.

Always a chance with AR under center. Can’t see a scenario where the Steelers let Henry run wild (load the box). Does the game come down to the offense scoring enough or the secondary of the defense being vulnerable because of commitment to the run?
Gerry Dulac
10:41
I'd hold off on that one, Art

After TJ who is the key player to get back from injury this week?
Gerry Dulac
10:42
Actually, I haven't had a problem with the way the OLBs have been playing without Watt. Highsmith has been outstanding

Hi Gerry, Happy New Year and love your chats.  Can you explain the contract implications of DK Metcalf’s two game suspension?  Obviously he loses pay for two games, but how is guaranteed money impacted and can the Steelers terminate his contract for this suspension after this season?  Thank you very much.
Gerry Dulac
10:45
His guaranteed money would be affected if the Steelers released him after the season. That's because of the legal language in his contract. But his $25 million would not be affected at all if he's still on the roster in 2026, which he will be. The Steelers have no intention of getting rid of him and he will still get his $25 million

10:45
Why was Roman Wilson barely used on Sunday?
Gerry Dulac
10:46
That's a good question, the one I asked Tomlin yesterday, especially after the way he talked him up at the previous week's press conference and on his pregame radio show.

10:46
Why would they keep dk he drops as many as he catches?
Gerry Dulac
10:47
I don't believe he has 59 drops

With both DK and Washington out this week, if the Steelers win who on offense do you think we will be talking about on Monday as the player or players in the passing game that stepped up and were the difference makers?
Gerry Dulac
10:48
I wish I could give you an honest assessment, but I can't.  But, because you asked, I'll say 88 or 16 (Thielen). Obviously, the guys they tried last week -- 16 combined targets to MVS and Scottie Miller -- didn't impact the game at all

We all know Antonio Brown was a late round pick that became a dominant WR, then sadly lost his mind. However, he either worked hard or was coached well and became a WR that could get open, even when they double teamed him. Are these type of WR rare? It seems we haven't had a WR that could get open on his own since AB. We also don't seem to have a coach that can scheme WR open. Is it misjudging talent when drafting, granted that Pickens was a good pick at first, or is it coaching?
Gerry Dulac
10:50
AB was a rare talent. Could get open in a telephone booth. Yes, coaches can scheme guys to get open, but they still have to get open

Do you anticipate Baltimore playing more man coverage this week with DK and Washington out or will they continue to play more zone like they have recently.  Which look do you think favors the Steelers?
Gerry Dulac
10:51
Well, the Steelers attacked that man coverage with great results in the first meeting. But those players aren't available to them this time
Matt
10:51
What was Broderick Jones injury, only thing I seen was "neck".  Did he have to have surgery to repair?  I think it was reported that he could return this year correct?  Unfortunate he was hurt, but the positive discovery is the Steelers have depth at LT I guess.
Gerry Dulac
10:52
Yes, he had neck surgery. And whoever reported that he could return this year, once again, has no idea what they're talking about
Josh
10:52
Welcome to AFC North Championship week Gerry! We should all just be happy to be here! Tomlin is! Is Art at all fed up? I know it’s Tomlins job until he decides it’s not, but there any wavering at all in the president of the teams office?
Gerry Dulac
10:52
Let's see what happens Sunday
RAM
10:52
Happy New Year Gerry! So are the Steelers going to be Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde on Sunday Night???? Or maybe Abbott and Costello?
Gerry Dulac
10:53
Keep watching!

Good Morning Gerry, first time writing in. My question is after the success they had against DET, were you surprised Thielen finished with only 2 catches on 5 targets. Whereas Scotty Miller had 7 targets and MVS had 9.
Gerry Dulac
10:53
Surprised? If I woke up in the morning and my head was sewn to the carpet I wouldn't be more surprised than I was then.
Jeff
10:53
Do you think we should be attacking the middle of the field more with our tight ends, crossing routes, and play action passes right behind our opponents defensive line?
Gerry Dulac
10:54
Boy, that sounds good!
Doyle37
10:54
If the steelers lose Sunday amid "fire Tomlin" cheers, does Rooney encourage MT to leave to avoid a disaster at draft 2026
