Gerry, I've read and heard more than a few reasons why the Steelers should NOT offer Le'Veon a high salary long-term deal, but could you offer reasons why the Steelers SHOULD?

Nope.

Doubt you’ll respond but last week you were incredibly rude and short (without answering the question) when I asked a simple question about how much cap room they had and if it was possible they could create enough space to sign an ILB or S. That’s exactly all I asked but you shockingly seemed to think I was criticizing the team’s past handling of cap issues from that. Want to try to answer this legit question again?

I didn't think you were criticizing, all I was saying was to relax, they know what they're doing. Recent history would suggest that. They are the best at keeping their core players and stars intact. They will do what's necessary again. And I'm not short. I'm 6-2

Good afternoon Gerry,  After it has been revealed that Mike Tomlin has been very hands on with regard to defensive play calling in games and taking charge during defensive team meetings,  do you believe that he is saving face by not replacing any of the defensive staff ? His DNA is so deeply embedded in the defence that he would be forced to publicly look into his own failings if he were to now fire any of the defensive coaches ?

If fundamentals and blown assignments are at the root of the problem, which in many cases they are, they hire fundamental assistant coaches to correct the problem. Do not keep coaches who have no background in coaching.

Why wouldn't we put the non exclusive tag on Bell?  We would have the opt to match any offers, and if we didn't, we would get 2 first rounders.  Teams have given up more, I.E. Hershel Walker, Ricky Williams, etc...

Why not try and move Sutton to FS?  Maybe even Allen who is 6'3" and 215#?  Keep Haden and Burns as your corners.  Mitchell is gone next year if not this one.

Allen is the prototypical corner, so I wouldn't do that. But some scouts thought Sutton could play safety in the NFL. That's not far-fetched. I think you will see the Steelers move Sean Davis to Mitchell's spot next season. He has much better range than 23.

Well, that's all the time we have today kids. Thanx for the questions.
