I think any RB can average 3.9 YPC behind three pro-bowl lineman and Rosie. Don't get me wrong, Bell is an exceptional player, but the money seems ridiculous. Makes sense to buy cheap, maybe someone like Dion Lewis. Use that extra $14.5 million to plug holes in the defense, specifically S and ILB, even though they should still be addressed in the draft. Doing this gives us the best chance to win our 7th in my opinion.

I'm not arguing

What do you think about moving over Sean Davis to FS? Mitchell needs cut, from his poor play and $8M cap hit. I think Sutton could be a viable option to test at S, and then look for Harrison from Bama or Allen from Penn State.
Gerry Dulac
1:05
That's a very real possibility. Very real
1:06
Let me specify, the very real possibility is moving Davis to FS. Sutton is staying put

Calling Bell's bluff. No way an NFL player, specifically one at the RB position turns down/retires with $14.5 million on the line
Gerry Dulac
1:06
Of course not

Hi Gerry, if L. Bell moves on this offseason and the Steelers draft an RB, who would be the starter coming in, Connor or rookie RB?
Gerry Dulac
1:06
I don't think the Steelers view Conner as a starter, just a nice backup

Hi Gerry....life long Steelers fan here....just a general question. Its seems to me that the Steelers organization is well thought of and a highly desirable place to be as a player. Do you get candid feedback from other teams/players in that regard or am I just bias?  Thanks.
Gerry Dulac

If they aren't No. 1 in the league, they are No. 2, and that's only because of the Super Bowl success of the Patriots

Louis lipps seems to be absent from steelers reunions,is there an issue between him and the team?
Gerry Dulac
1:08
I don't know. But it seems to be he's been around

What do you think is the most important factor for the Steelers to address from now until the draft?
Gerry Dulac
1:08
ILB and safety

Gerry- heard a couple of names linked to Steelers-
but Tremain Edmunds- is a tank- does he fit the mold and does he fit the bill for black and gold???
Gerry Dulac
1:08
Yes, he does, but he won't be around at 28

steelers window is closing fast. So why trade Bryant? He didn't have the year people expected but he missed a whole year. He was better in the 2nd half of the season. He will be back to full go this year. WE need him if we want to win this year. If all we can get is a 4th then its better to keep him. He is also a very nice insurance policy if AB gets hurt.

Why have we not heard much on Allen's progress ay CB and have they considered just moving Davis to FS and get a FA/Draft thumper for SS? Thanks for all the great work.

They think Allen can be a good corner. Has the size speed and hands.Needs to make a big move this year

I have seen a couple report of the Steelers trading Bryant for defensive backs. What makes any body think that will turn out good? I remember them trading picks for Gilbert and that was a waste. I remember them trading a pick for Boykens and that didn't turn out well either. They didn't even hardly play him and the few times they did he seem to perform well. Do you have faith they could identify a good defensive back to get in return. I sure dont

I guess Twitter and the PG wesbite doesn't reach a lot of people...

How much should we read into the team carrying Keion Adams through the season on IR?  Was there much of a cost to them to do so in terms of roster flexibility?  Any indication from anyone inside the organization as to what they feel they have in him?
Gerry Dulac
1:11
I like Adams. He was a pleasant surprise at camp and a guy who could potentially develop. They like him

Is Butler’s defensive scheme too complex for the present set of defensive backs? Too many coverage breakdowns.
Gerry Dulac
1:11
Not at all. It's less complex than LeBeau's. Maybe it's not the scheme....

Hi Gerry, I appreciate the lack of any definitive info on Ryan Shazier ever playing again, but is there any precedent for someone coming back and playing after having the stabilization surgery he had? In other words provided he can do all the things physically to return in 2019, would he be cleared medically?
Gerry Dulac
1:11
None that I know of.

Glad we'll have Bryant for another season and I hope they'll wait to draft a wr until they really need one. WR's and RB's don't require the 'development time' that many other positions do. That said, have any other teams called to offer a trade for Bell?

How serious were the injuries to Tuitt and Hargrave before the Jags game. Was Tuiit’s early season bicep injury related to the elbow injury which caused him to miss practice before the game?
Gerry Dulac
1:12
Not serious, but they were a problem that game

Do you find it annoying during games when the players constantly look up at the screen to see how wonderful they looked the previous play? Even running down the field they have to peek. Replays should be for the fans, not the players. Your thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
1:13
I find it more than annoying...shameless, selfish, ego-centric. Pick one

Gerry, you're pretty good at giving us a heads up on potential Steelers round 1 targets around combine time, what are some names this year you are hearing about?
