One dimensional player. But a late rounder for sure
Jon

Do you see Maurkice Pouncey trying to bring his brother up to Pittsburgh? Maybe move him over to guard like at UF?
Gerry Dulac
1:25
Nope
Jon
1:25
What's the likelihood of Mitchell coming back on a cheaper contract?
Gerry Dulac
1:26
Not likely. But always a chance
Moose
1:26
Sure would be nice to have an extra 15 mil available to fill some holes.  What say you?
Gerry Dulac
1:26
Sure. And it would be nice if it didn't snow in March
Jon
1:26
I recently saw that the Steelers have only 6.5 mil in cap space. How do they free up enough space to clear room for rookie contracts, potential FA additions and Bell's tag?
Gerry Dulac
1:27
They know what they're doing. And Bell's tag is already included.

Steelers liked Ebron out of college. Interest?
Gerry Dulac
1:27
Right but not now I don't think

1:27
Gerry, how do you see The AFC North now that The Browns have been very active in FA and with 5 early picks in the Draft?
Gerry Dulac
1:27
Don't see a whole lot changing. They have a chance to challenge the Bengals for 3rd. Maybe

Do you enjoy it when a dozen people in a row ask the same question?
Gerry Dulac
1:28
Of course not. You should see the ones I skip over

Hi Gerry, do you think Steelers should trade up to 24 (Panther's pick) to get one of the top 4 ILBs, especially since ILB class is overall weak this year?  Or just pick their top rated Safety?  Thanks!
Gerry Dulac
1:29
It depends. If a guy they really like keeps slipping, it's possible they would up a couple spots to get him. Unless there are still several players on the board they think they can get at 28, no matter what

Would expect the offense to be more than adequate for a Super Bowl run. Greatly concerned about the defense holding its side of the game. We seem to be very weak at S and ILB positions with no real cap space to find immediate relieve in free agency. That leaves the draft in which we are at a low position with statistically about a 50% chance of a successful pick. Hate to say it but Bell's tag seems to have handicapped the team. Hope management has a plan. What say you?
Gerry Dulac
1:29
Their offense is not in question, with or without Bell.
Jon
1:29
Do you think with all the recent additions that the Browns will move out of the cellar of the AFC North?
Gerry Dulac
1:30
They could. All the way up to third.

For all the talk of Bell & loss of Shazier, seems like the Steelers need to address how their front seven were absolutely demolished by Jacksonville. Is that a simple fix of existing players executing better & new coach helping or do you think there will be new talent brought in.
Gerry Dulac
1:31
The coaches know they were dominated. And several coaches have told me, and Kevin Colbert has stated publicly, it's up to the players to perform with a better attitude, desire and commitment. They didn't against Jax.

since when did this organization allow one player to dictate whether they can improve their team or not? why would they allow one players contract to constrict them this way?  is this the full on transition in philosophy from Dan to Art 2?
Gerry Dulac
1:32
Agreed 100 percent. But let's wait and see how it plays out. Nothing has been committed yet. As I said earlier, it will be a huge mistake -- and a tremendous surprise -- if they capitulate to their RB's ridiculous demands.

Gerry, PGH is moving more towards the proverbial cover 2 much more often with Coach Mike making the def calls. Doesn't that de emphasize the safety value re: high priced players at that position?
Gerry Dulac
1:33
Actually they are trying to move more to man coverage. Cover 2 has been around for several years

Is there really a HUGE difference between 3-4 and 4-3 linebackers? Aren’t we talking about guys 230-245 who can run and tackle, maybe throw in a blitz move?
Gerry Dulac
1:34
4-3 inside linebackers typically are bigger. 3-4 ILBs usually smaller and faster. But that's all overrated. Teams play so much sub package with mutliple DBs anymore that it doesn't really matter what your base defense is

What do you think of drafting Quadree Henderson in the late rounds? Slot receiver plus a returner. Reminds me of Tyreek Hill.
Gerry Dulac
1:35
I would not compare him to Tyreek Hill in any form

I've been a Steeler fan since before Bradshaw was drafted and they way they're tying up all their money on Bell instead of investing in FA's to bolster the defense is the worst decision I can remember. They should sign a good FA ILB and running back and use the draft wisely. Seems like they're placing a lot of faith that the player(s) they need will be available to them in the draft and that they can step in and play at a high level immediately. To me that's a lot to gamble a season on, your thoughts?

If Harrison signs are the Steelers still on the hook for his dead money? Or Mitchell or Gay, etc. for that matter...
Gerry Dulac
1:36
Mitchell yes, because he had a year left on his deal

Gerry, anything behind the rumors that Steelers are shopping Bryant?
Gerry Dulac
1:36
None whatsoever. That's an old untrue rumor

Gerry, have you heard anything about Timmons coming back?  Thanks.
Gerry Dulac

Ever hear of Larry Foote?

With all the moves the Browns have done, including on the coaching front, do you see them winning > four games?
