Hi Gerry-  While not the Steelers way, can you see a situation where the Steelers pull back the tag on Bell if a stud ILB comes on the market like Mathieu did at Safety...or even for Mathieu?  They could use that $15MM to upgrade 2 key positions and work from FA or the draft for RB.
Gerry Dulac
1:37
Absolutely I could

Would signing the honey badger be a problem if the Steelers wore their killer B'S uniforms ?

Hahaha

With the release of both Mitchell & Golden and quite possibly Wilcox still to come, do you think that this is a possible indicator of the team having some confidence in Sutton or Allen playing at the safety position, even if not as starters?
Gerry Dulac
1:38
That is always an option, trust me

If Shazier never plays again, will his contract continue to count against the cap until it runs out?  That wouldn't seem fair considering that he suffered a career-ending injury.
Gerry Dulac

Unfortunately for cap purposes, yes it does. But fortunately for him, he still gets paid the $6 million-plus this year

Why are they looking at wide receivers? Seems they always carry too many and end up having to cut them. Seems to me that if they feel they have picks to burn they should be restocking the offensive line. There's a real injury history there and I'd hate to see them go through 5-10 years like when Ben was getting shredded.

They can never resists a skill player if one is sitting on the board

Any chance we have 2 Pouncey's on the team in 2018?
Gerry Dulac
1:40
None
Matthew

Any chance Rob Golden can return on a 1 yr vet min contract? Too good on ST to lose.
Gerry Dulac
1:40
Of course

1:40
if an ILB isn't available, do they trade down?
Gerry Dulac
1:40
No, they should get an ILB or safety at 28

Gerry, I think that htere is a good chance that Vander Esch of Boise State could drop to the Steelers at 28. Not as fast as Shazier, but he has a high motor and plays sideline to sideline...Do the Steelers see him as a viable option or is he a workout warrior?
Gerry Dulac
1:41
Yes they do

Who was the most physically gifted athlete you've ever watched in person?
Gerry Dulac

Saquon Barkley is right up there

Did Tuit regress last year or was he hurt?
Gerry Dulac
1:42
He had three different injuries that nagged him all year, especially the biceps injury

The last time the Steelers won the Super Bowl, our starting RB was Willie Parker. What is the team’s fascination in keeping Bell at such a ridiculous price?
Gerry Dulac
1:42
Right.
And with that we will end the chat. Thanx for all the questions. Chat next week
