Toronto, No. 13. You can follow the results here: https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2023/06/2023-nba-draft-results.html
The Lakers rings
9:12
With the window of AD and LeBron about to close, why wouldn't they be going all in for this year and trading away young to get good veteran players for one more title run?
Rory Maher
9:12
What if the young players help them more than the veterans? Look at Reaves, Hachimura in the playoffs.

Why is Cam Whitmore falling? Injury concern?

Imagine Houston gets Amen and Whitmore… imagine that a month ago!
Okay
9:13
Rockets grab cam??
Rory Maher
9:14
They were linked to him at No. 4. It's getting wild how far he's falling.
Wannes
9:14
Makes sense for Houston to take a risk on Whitmore I guess
Rory Maher
9:14
I think so too.

Now are you surprised at how far he fell?
Rory Maher
9:14
Yes.

As a Zag fan, I saw Podziemski a bit and he's a great get for GS.  Solid pro
Rory Maher
9:15
Seems like a solid fit to me as well.

I know you touched on it earlier, but I still don't get Golden St trading for CP3 for what they gave up.
Rory Maher
9:17
I still haven't really processed that trade, though the first-round pick might not even convey. Definitely a risky deal considering how old Paul is and his injury history. Say what you want about Poole, but he played all 82 games this past season.
9:19
Whitmore finally off the board at No. 20. Quite a fall from potentially early in the lottery. Could be a steal at this point.

Which way do the Nets go with their picks? Do you see Simmons moving this offseason, or will Nets first try to increase his value a bit?
Rory Maher
9:21
They're reportedly high on Noah Clowney. Were involved in a lot of trade rumors for the two first-rounders.
I don't see Simmons going anywhere right now. His value is certainly at an all-time low, and he could have a bounce-back season if he's healthy and motivated.

very solid draft with those 2 pieces for the rockets
Lee-J
9:22
Yeah, really like the Whitmore pick for Hou. They have so many young players and future high picks, they can sit him this entire season if it's injury that caused him to fall
Rory Maher
9:22
No clue what the medical red flag is, but I agree. Best player available at both spots was the right call for the position the Rockets are in.

Boooo one pick away
Rory Maher
9:23
disappointed to not land Whitmore, I take it?

I've heard Cleveland has been talking to about every team in the 20's to get a pick...Hoping they can pull it off. Other than LeVert and the Core 4, they have absolutely no talent on the roster
Rory Maher
9:27
If they have no talent on the roster aside from those players, what will they use to get the pick? Not saying it's impossible, just genuinely curious.

9:27
Yup, but appreciate you no matter who they take here
Rory Maher
9:27
My pleasure.

Where do the Kings go? Sensabaugh (if he's there)? Olivier Maxence-Prosper? Someone else?
Jay in Sac
9:27
Where do the Kings go? Sensabaugh l, if he's still there? OMP? Trade the pick?
Rory Maher
9:29
I read earlier that Sensabaugh might have a knee issue, not that it matters much at No. 24. I don't think he'll be the pick either way though, because while he's said to be a very productive scorer, that isn't what Sac needs.
9:30
Prosper or Keegan Murray's twin brother Kris make more sense to me.

9:30
Thanks! I would prefer Maxence-Prosper, but time will tell...
Rory Maher
9:31
He's been one of the draft risers since the combine.

that's the magic Koby Altman needs to pull off. For some reason, there are supposedly teams who out there who like Cedi Osman. maybe future 2nd round picks?
Rory Maher
9:33
Osman is a good player when he's making shots and playing with confidence. He's one of the only players they have that pushes the ball in transition (the Cavs played with the slowest pace in the league despite having a young roster). The problem is when he isn't making shots he loses all confidence.

Whitehead was a top-five prospect entering college. Had a couple foot surgeries in the past year, including one earlier this month. Supposed to be ready for training camp though: https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2023/06/dariq-whitehead-has-second-foot-su...

Which teams are best bets to draft project players who need to develop a bit rather than more polished players?
