Player comps for Ayton or Bagley III?
Austin Kent
6:19
I think with Ayton it's reasonable to think along the lines of somebody transformative like KAT. And The Ringer calls MB3 a slim Zach Randolph, which makes me happy.

6:20
Any Bucks news?
Austin Kent
6:21
We relayed earlier that they'd like to add more picks (https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2018/06/draft-updates-mavericks-kings-celt.... But then again, the same could probably said for the other 29 teams. ;)

Who makes biggest trade tonight?
Austin Kent
6:22
I would guess that the biggest deal ends up being a draft pick. I don't think we'd see any major blockbusters like Kawhi Leonard or anything. But hey, if that No. 3 trades hands, it could Luka Doncic and he could very much be game changer in Year 1.

What are the odds that not a single top 10 pick is traded?
Austin Kent
6:24
I would be very surprised if there weren't any deals involving top 10 picks. The ambiguity and general sense of parity from 4-7 leads me to think that some exec is going to think he can outsmart the rest of them and try to trade down.

Biggest GM at risk in this draft?
Austin Kent
6:24
This is an interesting one, what do you guys think? (Also, feel free to weigh in on any questions).
6:26
I think it's a pivotal draft for Chris Wallace. The guy gets flak for Memphis' disastrous 2017-18 but there were a lot of things at play last season. Tonight he'll need to appease those calling for a fresh start while also contemplating adding short-term help to win now.
Marty Huggins
6:26
Any news on Kemba Walker potentially being traded?
Austin Kent
6:26
I don't think there's as much pressure to deal him after the D12 deal. We wrote about that earlier today: https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2018/06/teams-lining-up-for-no-3-pick-if-k...

i want to cheer for Donte Divincenzo next year.  any chance that he falls to us and will he fit into Thib's schemes?
Austin Kent
6:27
I think we could definitely see him available at No. 20.
DeanO
6:27
Who goes first, Trae Young or Jaren Jackson?
Austin Kent
6:28
Consensus seems to be Jackson. I have a hard time seeing Young go any higher than No. 6. Jackson, meanwhile, could be a realistic option at No. 4 whether or not that pick gets dealt.
6:29
Just my opinion
6:29
Any chance a team drafting in the 20’s trading into the top 10 this year ?
Austin Kent
6:30
That's a major jump. And from what I'm hearing, it comes with a major price tag. The value of lottery picks seems to be higher than ever.
Wilt
6:31
Conjecture and speculation is interesting, but why not sit back and relax and watch the picks unfold.
Austin Kent
6:32
Because trade speculation is mana from heaven. Hahah. Although I'll hop on your side if Shams and Woj start spoiling picks again this year.
Brett Brown
6:32
What do I do tonight?
Austin Kent
6:33
I think, realistically, Philly should look to surround their star duo with complementary players. The Sixers don't need another superstar.

Re: GM. For me it’s Hammond in ORL. That team is stocked with bigs and any guard not names Doncic will be taken too early at 6. He needs to drop down to 8-11, secure a future asset to do so, and dump one of the bigs’ salaries. Tough work IMO
Jeremy
6:34
4th pick is where this draft really gets started
Austin Kent
6:34
When it looked like Ayton/Doncic/Bagley, I'd have agreed... but then the Kings outdid themselves, apparently locking in on Bagley and throwing everything else into chaos.

6:35
Any real surprise picks in top 5?
Austin Kent
6:35
I don't think so. Certainly nothing that would make Bill Simmons yell on live TV. It seems that No. 6 is when things start to really break open.
Nate
6:36
Do you think it makes sense for the hawks to trade back a few picks and then use their other picks to trade up. Get maybe Bamba and a wing? Schroder is young enough to grow with a couple young lottery players
Austin Kent
6:36
I think something along those lines would appeal to Schlenk, who seems to be playing 4D chess in an attempt to accumulate future assets. If he can leverage that possible Doncic selection into something that will help them team down the road, I think he does it.
Tommy
6:37
will the Knicks trade into the top 5
Austin Kent
6:37
I don't think they will, there seem to be a few players that have piqued their interest, a big one being Kevin Knox.
6:38
I've seen them linked to Bamba as well but he may come with too high of a price tag.
6:39
Unsurprisingly, the Suns went with Arizona big man Deandre Ayton
6:40
Anybody have objections to that? It seemed like the obvious choice for McDonough.
Dan Seco
6:41
Any sense of where Kevin Huerter is headed?
Austin Kent
6:41
I've seen him as high as No. 18 but I see him most frequently linked to Minny at No. 20.
MD
6:42
I think he's overhyped because of physical tools, he may very well be an all-star but I see many other candidates to be the best player of this class
