I think it would have been possible for them to get him in that 12-13 range but I'm not sure that they would yield much in return for that 9-12 drop. The class seems to be pretty top-8 heavy (top-7 without MPJ).

The Suns are drafting Zhaire Smith at No. 16.

The guys at The Ringer are very high on Zhaire Smith. He's a, and I quote, "Marcus Smart with less playmaking abilities and more athleticism".
But Zhaire Smith is on the MOVE. Heading to Philly for Mikal Bridges. The Suns will give up a future first-round pick to make the climb.
The pick on the move will be Miami's in 2021.

We've had them linked to Josh Okogie, which I think could be a solid value. The fact that somebody like Jalen Brunson could be available then is intriguing, too.

That 2021 Miami pick could be valuable.  If the 1 and done stuff finishes that year, the 2021 class could have the last 1 and dones and the next hHS class the same year.
