So brassard seems like he’s thrilled to be out but to me that says something. He basically didn’t like pitt because he wasn’t getting what he wanted. Wouldn’t you rather play for a winning ten with hockey culture than playing on a losing team with empty seats?

I think Brassard would rather play on a team that offers him a role where he feels comfortable. I think he thinks that can happen on a winning team, too, and I don't disagree with him. I don't think he'll be in Florida long.

I don't think you should be sent to the AHL, Dom. You're on a one-way deal, after all. But I think the Penguins want to see more consistency from you.

With Crosby being the best player in the world, why is his production so low relative to lesser talents in the league?  Is it a matter of the Pens' system, or the selection of wingers he has to play with or something else?

It's more a result of how he's playing -- two-way, getting Guentzel the puck to score. It's in no way an indication that his play has slipped. He could put up points if that's what he focused on 100 percent of the time.

Jason, your work is outstanding.  What is this team missing in terms of leadership, heart & effort?  They blew a 2-0 lead in Toronto. The Tampa game got too close for comfort same for the Ottawa game. They never learn their lesson. It seems they just don’t want to playa defensive minded game when they have the lead. Yes there are exceptions but very few.

They could use another vocal leader, I agree. A Bill Guerin-type to keep things loose and provide some honest assessment of when they stink. Someone who's not afraid to say something.

I like Raleigh the most out of those three. Clean, chill, a lot to do, great weather. Nashville is fun, too, but I don't think I would want to live there.

They're much more structured than the Penguins. They take fewer chances and, as a result, allow a lot less in terms of Grade A chances.

Can they fit another depth defenseman under the cap?  In 2017, they needed nine D to win the Cup, and I don't trust the likes of Zach Trotman. I'd like to see what Ethan Prow has...Now that Blueger is with the big club, he's the WBS leading scorer.  Thanks for answering!

I think they could, but it would probably take trading someone like Pearson to make sure it happens.
