The guy that says he sees Brassard is doing well ... he has 3 goals and 0 assists in 15 games.  2 were in his first 4 games.  Thats 0.2 goals/game.  He had 9 in 40 with the Pens, 0.225 goals/game.  Also a -6 over 4 games with the Pens, -6 in 10 games with FLA, & -6 in 15 games with the Avs (weird stat line).  Look, I really don't care about Brassard doing well or poorly, I mean sure I hope all the players do well.  But lets not pretend he suddenly got worlds better going to the Avs.  Pretty much in line with his season this year.  Also ice time with the Avs hit 20 min. twice and has been around 14 last few games.  11:33 in his last game.

Thanks, Brad. I should have taken the time to vet that out, but I meant what I typed so I went with it: He struggled with his role here, and regardless of the numbers, I'm willing to bet he's a heck of a lot happier there.

Do you think the NFL should allow replay reviews on pass interference calls as well as non-calls?

I don't read much in-market. Sometimes I do, but I also worry too much ... sometimes if I read DK, the Athletic or the Trib I'll start second-guessing what I'm doing, how I'm doing it, if I'm doing enough. It's nothing against them. I just find I can do better work and be happier if I just stay in my lane and do the best job I can for the P-G.

How has Gudbranson been as an addition to the locker room?  Has he added the personality that JR was looking for when he traded for him?

Yep, every bit of it. I think he's still fitting in a little bit, but that's natural. They've loved what he's brought off the ice and on it.

I am really happy for Johnson and the turnaround for his season.  It seems the detractors have quieted down some.  Is he the only D that the pens will play on his "off side" if needed?

I think they want to keep him on the left, and I agree. They're trying Dumoulin on his right. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Hi Jason, was listening to you on 93.7 and you had mentioned that people are hoping the Pens finish second to get NY in playoffs.  I think that is crazy.  You have to be careful what you wish for.  NY's defensive style is built for the playoffs and Trotz knows us well.  And if Pens do make it to the second round I want home ice against Caps.

Let's be truthful here: I didn't mention that. Chris and Andrew floated it as a possibility. I think it's stupid. Win as many games as you can. If you get a freebie at the end because things are locked up, rest away. But to me, it's more important to be playing well. I hate manipulating matchups.

I think so. They've been so dominant, in all facets. I just don't know how you can't take them seriously. (Sorry about all the negatives. ... Bottom line, they're good, and I absolutely think you have to think about them differently for that reason.)
