Thanks Jason.  I don't really have much of a question but the Pens have back to back Saturday and Sunday home games against two of the original six.  What are the odds in that happening again?
Jason Mackey
2:03
Not very good. Odd schedule.

Jason... Ever get tired of answering the same questions during the same chat?  LOL
Jason Mackey

I won't say I get tired of it, but I do enjoy when people go off the grid a little bit. It's also good to remember that I cover the Penguins; I'm not on a texting basis with, say, Ottawa.

I'll try that again - What's the long term prognosis on a Malkin trade?  He's by far the best player on the ice for 3-5 second bursts, but usually only every other period.  His $9 million a year contract has got to weigh in on where the see him in a few years, why not get that 3rd line center plus an assortment of picks and players.
Jason Mackey
2:06
They're not trading Malkin, sorry. Nor do I think they should. Can't reason trading your 2C for a 3C.

Mackey, we won our last two games. Do you think this is the start of us getting out of our funk?
Jason Mackey
2:06
I think you guys are trending upward, yes.

Jason, I know it appears that the Pens do not have much to trade beyond stars or players with "bad" contracts, but how is it possible for a back-to-back Champion to not have players anyone would want?
Jason Mackey
2:07
Well, people would want Murray or Jarry, but they're not available. Ditto for Dumoulin, Maatta and Schultz. Letang, Crosby, Malkin ... you get the point. It's not fair to blanket-statement say they don't have anyone anybody would want.

Do you think penguins are regretting not going after schenn at the draft? Heard that they were trying to get him instead of reaves but it didn't work.
Jason Mackey
2:07
No, I don't. I can't imagine their results to this point would be different much at all had that happened.

Do you agree with the upcoming game time change?  I mean, what's the deal? Can't watch both? Traffic is always a good thing.
Jason Mackey
2:08
I do. Gets me out of St. Louis a day earlier.

Boy, I say, boy, I'm havin' hockey withdrawal this week. Pens up and down like ridin'
Jason Mackey

Saturday, Foghorn. Saturday. You'll make it.

Jason, are we seeing the Penguins finally putting it together? Are we still lacking that third line Center? If they keep winning like they are right now, will they need to address the center or defense position?
Jason Mackey
2:09
If they keep winning and can get enough, maybe not. But I still think they need a third-line center who can contribute offensively. One not named, Guentzel, either; he's much better with Sid.

Besides Sprong and Simon, are any others worthy of potential call ups in the long term future?
Jason Mackey
2:09
I don't think so. At some point you'll see Johnston, Bengtsson, ZAR and Blueger, but they still have some work to do.
Kris Letang

Look Jason, you're a good guy but your undying love for me has blinded you. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for we two to saunter off into the sunset together Cup, I truly would. You need to come to terms with the fact that I'm just not what I used to be and never will be again. As the song goes, "He's gone, he's gone and nothin's gonna bring him back, he's gone." Trade me Jason, let me go and put the pieces that were Jason back together.
Jason Mackey

Why the eagerness to trade Letang, folks? I don't get it.

Jason,  Whats your prediction for Sundays Steeler game?
Jason Mackey

Win. Easily. Ben bounces back. It ain't close.

Who are some college free agents that the Penguins might target this year?
Jason Mackey
2:10
I'm sorry. I haven't had time to monitor that. Been too busy with the NHL club.
Thanks, folks. That'll do it. Until next week ...
