Why wo the pens keep putting letang in a bad position where he makes poor decisions on the power play, he lets the puck out with sloppy stickwork, and he has no defensive conscience, plus he typically does not get pucks through. This is a killer on the pp and with the goalie pulled.

Well, they don't really have another good option. Maybe Maatta? That's kinda it. But again, it's not just Letang on the SHG allowed.

Kessel seems to do things only his way. He has had a dozen great opportunities this week, but he has not elevated the puck at all. He keeps bumping shots into goalie pads along the ice. Is he that stubborn, or unavailable to coaching?

I think Phil likes to play the game a certain way, his way, which most of the time works out fine. But, yeah, it does get ugly sometimes when it doesn't work. This also isn't new.

Will they ever consider trading Kessel. Can't skate with speed, can't pass or set others up and has never hit another player with any force ever.

Kessel can't skate with speed? Don't know if I agree with that one. Yes, they would consider it. But only under special circumstances. Say, if this season goes south. Maybe then. But it would have to be for the right return.

Do the pens have player issues or coaching issues? There are obvious things that are not happening and  changes are not made. Who is that on? And why don’t simple tings

I don't think they have either, to be honest with you.

Are the problems the pens are experiencing over and over again on the coaches or the players? The same problems and no different results. Over passing, poor clearing attempts, no shots through, turnovers, not going to the dirty areas,  not shooting high. All keep happening...why?

Things have actually improved. I wouldn't let one loss -- even if it was really bad -- cloud that.

Maata has been way better on the pp than Letang. Moves well, moves the puck, gets shots through, less sloppy, and has a v effective slap pass. Why doesn’t he get more pp1 time?

Letang adds more on that unit with his athleticism, keeping pucks in, getting hit shot through, etc. Maatta would be a safer option, I agree, but the offense would be limited.
OK, folks. That does it for this week. Thanks for participating. Let's do this again next Thursday.
