Minnesota is currently in a WC spot.  Does Cullen just not fit in the Minnesota system?  Seems like they'd want to keep him around rather than trade him.  And I've not seen any "rumors" that  Minnesota is offering him around.

Yeah, it's looking that way, Marnie. If the Cullen trade doesn't happen -- it might not -- it could easily be because Matt isn't available. He has played a larger role, but the Wild have other centers and they could get some value back for Cullen ... probably only from the Penguins; I'm not sure anybody else is in the discussion at this point.

Huge, huge Indy fan. But not psyched for this. Crystal Skull lost me. Last Crusade is one of my favorite movies ever. I'm fine to let it end on that. Crystal Skull was too weird for me.

Evgeni Malkin is seriously under appreciated by the league and that is a hill I am willing to die on. I would absolutely love it if he won the Art Ross. I would love it for him.

I don't think it'll happen. ... Whenever Crosby's current line and the Guentzel-Sheahan-Kessel line both stop producing, although I don't see that happening soon.

Brassard and Kane and I think we could use bigger defensemen who are decent....Also other solid 3rd line centers like Soderberg,Plekanic..etc..I mean the Buffalo Sabres media is probably making Him look bad.

I think it might be tough to acquire Brassard, Kane, Soderberg and Plekanec. Or any of them. If you're 16-4-1 since Jan. 1 -- more than a quarter of the season -- I'm sorry, I just don't see the point in doing something that big.

Sorry. Two late ones popped in before I ended the chat. ... He is not Vegan. He's tried yoga, but doesn't do a ton. He is, of course, into stretching and mobility training. Loves tennis. Not sure about his theory on the Earth.

Jason thank you for the chats. Has anyone, that formerly had not, taken up a leadership role on the team? I'm just wondering if the leadership would Cullen bring back is as important as we may have thought say two months ago. Thanks again.

While it's tough to say it would be hugely important given that they're winning games, I do think it would be big for the playoffs to have someone like Cullen around. Play on the ice would be one thing. But his calmness when things are tough -- I think back to the Ottawa series -- you really only get that with age. Young leads such as Murray have been great, but they could use an old guy.
