Yeah, got into that a few times. Palacios, Triolo, Joe, 2C ... then Olivares? Maybe Bae because he plays two positions. Gonzales? It's TBD.

What are your impressions on the job John Baker has done?

Interesting question. I like it. Baker is a super smart dude, intentional with everything he does. I think how they're handling prospects is different. That said, I think it's an incomplete grade. We need to see how these guys transition into regular MLB time. We're in the middle of that process.

I haven't seen any mention of Hyun-jin Ryu - he's a veteran who has been mostly solid in his career with an injury history, but has produced when healthy. There has not been much chatter about any team in regards to where he might land and it seems that he's healthy now. I would've thought the price there might be too high for the Pirates but he's still out there. Is he a legitimate option, even with Perez and Gonzales added?

Like you said, I have not seen much scuttlebut linking him and them. Would not be against it for the right price, but I wouldn't over-extend given how his past couple years have gone.

They signed a DH -- Cutch, for $5 million. They wanna see if Henry can catch ... finally. Mlodzinski's aggression has led to his success as a reliever. I don't want to take that away, and I don't think anyone could do that for 5-7 innings.
