I think we have a clock, no? The calendar. Won't be long. ... I would invest in some hope now. Realistic hope. Not saying they're gonna win the division, but I think they will be better and certainly watchable. They should flirt with a wild card.

You mentioned earlier the possibility of alika williams making the team as a bench bat and peggy being sent to triple a. I think the eye test and stats back up that peggy’s bat has far more upside, so why not keep him up as a backup instead? Would keep his confidence up I’d imagine as well

That's what I would do as well. I'd bounce Triolo. I'm just relaying my understanding of their plans. I think they want to play Triolo every day at 2B.

I think they preferred to platoon and probably had a number they were comfortable going to on Santana ... but his was higher, thus stopping talks before they really started.

I think I know that waiting until Super 2 deadline would mean Skenes gets to arbitration 1 year later. Give me a guess as to how much Skenes to arbitration one year earlier costs the Pirates. 1 million, 5 million, more? Or, am I wrong on this and does it involve how many years the Pirates can keep him?

Years of control involves the first 15 days and not reaching a full year of service. There's no financial savings there. Super-2, I have no clue. Cole got $13.5 million in '19. Would have to imagine that, if not higher.

my rebuild has been so successful. chase anderson is going to maybe be our 5th starter in the fifth year of my tenure. when do i get extended?

I'd rather let the year play out before criticizing it. I don't like the lack of starter depth. But it's also possible for guys here to pitch well. We'll see soon enough.
