I think they plan to play IKF there. Now, maybe Nick G., Triolo, Alika or Peguero fills in. But I expect IKF to get the majority of the reps. No idea of Griffin. We're talking 4 years away. A lot can happen in that time. Wouldn't surprise me if he winds up in CF.

Does Skenes need to win his last 2 starts to get the ROY, or is it too little too late?

He should get it now, IMO. I get what Merrill has done. My contention for Skenes would be that pitching is harder. He's also been arguably the best P in baseball -- or at least one of them -- since he debuted. Has Merrill been that when compared to other position players?

last time Paul S pitched, the Bucs had C Joe batting cleanup. Was this an egregious attempt to cost Paul a chance at a victory, reducing his chances of finishing first or second in ROY voting, and maintaining contractual control over him for  another year?

No. You're missing a lot there, Eman. Paul's gonna finish 1 or 2 in ROY voting. That means Paul will get a full year of service time. The Pirates know this. That has nothing to do with contractual control. His contractual control remains the same: six years. What the service time impacts is how quickly he can go through arbitration.
