Given his litany of injuries, does an Aaron Judge extension appear increasingly unlikely by the day? Perhaps the Yankees would have been more open to it without Stanton's contract already in place but it seems like if Judge is going to get a long-term deal, its probably not going to be with the Yankees.

maybe but i think it might also increase Judge's willingness to lock in some security

Can you try to play Brodie’s advocate and defend the Mets’ deadline trades with the Rangers (Chirinos and Frazier, will have to cut 2 players from the 40-man then another when Nido comes back) for me?

I tried to find the glass-half-full scenario in my evaluation of the trade but admittedly didn't think too hard about the 40-man implications.Quite possible that, say, Dellin Betances is done for the year, though
