His best-hit balls are leaving the yard instead of bouncing back into play. That'll do a number on BABIP
More of those homers will turn into doubles. He's been selective to this point with his pull power. He's a league-average kind of player, when it's all said and done

What's one potential trade virtually no one is talking about?
Jeff Sullivan
10:41
Any trade involving low-level prospects not on 40-man rosters
Gotcha!

Is Mike Trout untradeable? The hypothetical returns for him appear to be self-crippling for any or most teams to make that trade. Why would a team trade for a player when that player would empty its farm system? A rational organization would not.
Jeff Sullivan
10:42
There are teams that could do it without crippling themselves. There are teams with enough depth, and of course Trout is an extremely valuable long-term player
I think he's untradeable because the Angels won't trade him
Erik
10:42
What's more likely: the Angels trade Trout this year, or the Angels make the playoffs this year?
Jeff Sullivan
10:42
Playoffs

Should the Dodgers mover Kershaw to the pen? Seems he'd be a good closer. You can never have enough relievers.
Jeff Sullivan
10:42
He could relieve on his throw days!

Yordano Ventura has more walks than strikeouts on the year. Should he go to the bullpen or AAA? Or just let him work it out? Looked so promising at the end of last year
Jeff Sullivan
10:46
I think you give him more time, but he's flying open more than before, and I don't like where his velocity is. That's a little troubling
10:47
And he's throwing a lot more changeups, especially to righties -- there's a hint of something going on there where he doesn't trust his fastball as much
Erik
10:47
Are there any players at all whose odds of being traded this year are over 50%?
Jeff Sullivan
10:47
Andrew Cashner
Jay Bruce, finally
10:48
Will Smith, if he makes it back in time
Not Andrew Bailey
10:49
How much more Joey Votto can you stand seeing sucking in Cincy?
Jeff Sullivan
10:49
Since he bottomed out in April, he's posted a four-digit OPS in 71 plate appearances. He's fine
Dock Ellis

Every chat before the season I asked if Odubel Hererra could be Shane Victorino 2.0 and not one person who follows baseball as their job said it was possible. Now, should I look at this saying well technically he's better or can I mock the industry for not seeing what a causal fan saw?
Jeff Sullivan
10:50
Mock away! So far this has been amazing
Hank
10:50
Do you think Eovaldi ever puts the pieces together, or will he stay maddeningly inconsistent for the rest of his career?
Jeff Sullivan
10:50
Maddening just because people expect more of a guy with that velocity, but pitching is more than velocity
The Average Sports Fan
10:50
Are the Reds farther away from being a good team than the Braves?
Jeff Sullivan
10:50
I actually don't think so
Snowflake
10:51
What odds would you put on Daniel Murphy ending the season with a 400 avg?
Jeff Sullivan
10:51
As low as the odds of Mike Trout getting traded
CameronDaClub
10:51
Yelich hit three HRs in four games!
Jeff Sullivan
10:51
Walks: up. Power: up. Strikeouts: down. Witness

10:52
The Royals stink, Jeff. Stink! Projections were right all along.
Jeff Sullivan
10:52
See, we knew what we were talking about!
Nick S
10:52
If the Braves sign Cervelli and Prado/Freese/Desmond for 3B, trade for a hitter in LF like Braun, and promote Swanson/Albies for SS/2B, does that make them a 80-85 win team in 2017?
Jeff Sullivan
10:52
No, see, they need to pitch, too
But the new middle infield is going to make that situation so much more palatable
Justin in Justin
10:53
Chances Prince can be offloaded in the offseason? Weak FA class might help?
Jeff Sullivan
10:53
Him sucking does the opposite of help
Not Dan
10:53
How should I feel about Adrian Beltre playing over the next decade?
Jeff Sullivan
10:54
He won't make it the full decade, but you should cherish the time that you have
