Re: the Mariners farm system. There seems to be a fair amount of improvement from a couple guys who lost a lot of their shine last year like Peterson, Jackson and Zunino. How long does it take for a farm system to climb in terms of reputation/trade value? If the better results from minor league guys can sustain until the end of the season does it propel the farm system up the standings going into next season or does it take just more draft picks/quantity to jump from say #20 to #17 in some expert's ranking?

I think this was always the hope -- that they could implement a better system such that some formerly high-profile talent would be salvageable. Long way to go but things are looking much better
