NL only keeper, who would you rather have next year, Garrett Mitchell or Justin Lawrence?
Brent Hershey

Mitchell. COL pitchers tough to count on

Any big expectations for Tyler O'neil upon return?  Feel like he could be a nothing burger but the "once you display a skill, you own it" thing is stuck in my head with him.  Wouldn't mind to see him traded somewhere that will give him full time ABs

Tough call, but no, my expectations are low as long as he's in STL. Crowded OF; manager appears to not enjoy him. Agree a trade would be best.

Your favorite "Closers in waiting" for when the trade deadline dust settles?

So many dominoes, but intrigued by Fujinama's recent work

Grayson Rodriguez: wait and see or pounce and hope? Would need to drop one of Detmers, Jordan Montgomery, Woo, or Skubal

Thanks to your advice, I've held on to O'Hearn (AL-only Keeper league). I picked him up when Mountcastle went down.  Now, Mountcastle is back, and keeping both seems to make sense, as I had a painless inner-ear infection years ago that caused vertigo, and I had reoccurrences for several months thereafter. To make room, I put Mateo in my lone reserve slot (another reserve slot opens in August). Does keeping both make sense to you? Are they are on a job share? Will I ever see them both in the line up at the same time? Thanks, again!

Answered some above, but yes keeping both makes sense given mechanical changes O'H made and fact that batted ball stats are huge.

AL Only 5X5 12-team keeper - curious who you think emerges next year from the Orioles embarrassment of riches in the IF with Urias, Westburg, Henderson, Norby, Mayo etc
Brent Hershey
1:27
Urias (and probably Frazier) not part of the picture come 2024; Henderson is safest. Any of the remaining trio (and add Joey Ortiz to that list also) could (should?) be traded

Paxton

12 team mixed points with keepers.  For dynasty purposes only, rank Alek Thomas, Joey Weimer, Drew Waters, Johan Rojas.  Thanks for doing these Brent!

Think I'd go with your order here ... maybe Rojas>Waters, but won't know for several years on that one. Rojas could well turn into Estury Ruiz

16 tm 6x6 ops holds h2h dynasty, keep forever league, pitching hard to find (looking at this year/next year) Would you give up Castellanos for Darvish + smaller piece? I have Yordan, Harris, Teoscar, Chourio, Friedl as OF options now
Brent Hershey

No; think I'd want Castellanos in that park short-term over a Darvish type

Alright, thanks all; sorry I couldn't get to everything but need to move on. Will be back next Monday... check out all BaseballHQ has to offer if you're not a subscriber already. Also note plans are coming together for our First Pitch Arizona in-person weekend conference in November. Check the side rail for a link to details ... it's an absolute blast. Thanks, see ya next week!
