Gonna assume for this week's lineups ...
Baty / Larnach / Keith / Brash

Rangers fire hitting coach, still no improvement. His bad did this move affect Langford? He is worst funk of career anywhere he has played.
Brent Hershey
12:46
So hard to tell, with the lack of MLB experience for Langford. Could it be that MLB teams have figured out how to pitch him? Just a cold streak? Hitting coach getting fired would be far down on my list of reasons for the struggles.

Hi Brent - happy early Father's Day.  Waiting for Westburg to return in 12 teamers, mixed and roto.  Is he a top 10 2B rest of season?  That Baltimore lineup is frustrating overall.
Brent Hershey
12:48
Am encouraged by his success on rehab; had been counting on him in a couple places myself. Hopefully once he's back, they plug him in regularly for rest of the season. Feel like he's still just outside Top 10 2Bmen for this year, though.
McCullers Don't Run
12:49
Hi Brent. Please choose one for ROS value (5x5 QS): McCullers or Tylor Megill.
Brent Hershey
12:49
Megill ... but wow, McCullers has impressed me recently.

4x4 AL only ros Baker Os or Montgomery TB specualtive saves Thank you
Brent Hershey

Montgomery, I guess. I trust Felix more than Fairbanks to last the season

Happy Monday, Brent. Which arm do you like rest of season in a 12 team mixed league:  E. Cabrera, Bradley, L. Ortiz, B. Brown, or Pfaadt?
Brent Hershey
12:52
Arm as in stuff? Brown. But overall shot for ROS? I'll take Cabrera's upside and live with the injury risk.
Brent Hershey

Apologies for the delay ... will grab a few more here.

Will Warren has been getting advice from Garret Cole, 75’k in 57 innings so far. Has Warren broken out as a potential #1?
Brent Hershey
1:12
Can't say that after just two months, but Warren has no doubt been impressive and looks to be for real. Check back in September.

Good morning Brent!

In a 12-team H2H redraft points league, heavily weighted to wins. For ROS is it time to bail on Pfaadt and Mize and replace with any of the following. Please rank in order of preference?

Charlie Morton
Noah Cameron
Kershaw
Colton Gordon
Yarbrough
Birdsong
Jose Soriano
Brent Hershey
1:15
I'm sticking with Mize over all these guys; and Pfaadt over some. My rough rank:

Mize / Kershaw / Birdsong / Pfaadt / Soriano / Gordon / Cameron / Yarborough / Morton

Thanks for the chat, Brett. NL-only, 12-team, dynasty. Ryan Ritter is available in our free agent pool today. Interesting offensive profile, and a solid defender. Should I bid aggressively on Ritter with an eye toward him collecting 450 ABs in 2026 on a bad Rockies team? There should be paths to playing time, no?
Brent Hershey
1:16
Rockies doling out PT to those who deserve scares me as much as some of their staff. Can like the player, but just know the risk and COL history with player dev choices if you decide to roster.

Quickie... 5x5, Mixed League, Need a Harper replacement for my DH spot, Correa, Bogaerts, or Lordes Gurriel ?  Thanks a bunch

AL only:  Santander, Manzardo, CWalker... all pretty disappointing AL only.  Just ride them all out?  I suppose.  Any optimism here?
Brent Hershey
1:17
Least concerned about Walker. Had hopes that Manzardo might find full time PT, but doesn't seem to be the case.

Tanner Bibee turning a corner recently. Any chance he makes a run at his UP forcaster prediction on a per start basis ROS?
Brent Hershey

Yep, there's a chance. Like the improvements we've seen recently.

Brent,  thx for chat! 9 team AL only 4X4 I am considering dropping one of the following Giménez, Cam Smith, Varsho, or Grisham at next months draft for Gelof. Please rank all 5 in order of drop first.
Brent Hershey
1:20
Grisham / Gelof / Varsho / Giménez / Cam Smith. Not exactly sure I'd be chasing Gelof for most of these guys.

Hey Brent! Appreciate you doing this! I'm in a very competitive and deep 16 teamer. Always need to be like a week early on guys because I'malways towards the end of wavier priority. Picked up Cole Young, Kyle Teel and Colby Thomas 2 weeks ago thinking call-ups were imminent. Who are some other guys you think might be right around corner?
Brent Hershey
1:22
Tough game to play; but you've hit on some already for sure. Basallo, Bubba Chandler, Joe Boyle, Chase Burns

Jacob Misiorowski owner. I would rather see him closing and collecting 100Ks than go through the ups and downs of a being an SP, what with wins being so unpredictable. Am I crazy?
Brent Hershey
1:22
No, but the Brewers are going to give him every opportunity to start for now.

Hi Brent, what are reasonable expectations for Noah Cameron going forward? I picked him up as a streamer in my Points League weeks ago and he’s obviously over-performed. Trying to decide whether he’s worth hanging onto or if I’d be better off with Colton Gordon or Festa this week. Appreciate any thoughts.
Brent Hershey
1:23
Prefer both those guys to Cameron this week for sure. Tough to do in this case, but follow skills.

Hi Brent - Ben Brown pops up frequently on BBHQ, most recently in the FAAB files.  He's not for the faint of heart but seems to be improving.  Do you see positive signs?
Brent Hershey
1:24
Yep ... mainly a two-pitch guy tempers me a bit, but raw stuff is there.

CES, Busch, or O'Hearn? Busch has been surprisingly great... but only against RHP, and his lineup demotion / platoon PT reflect this. O'Hearn steady but hit something of a plateau before cooling off more recently. Which leaves me with CES and his power upside, though CT%/BB% have never been great and I am likely only talking myself into him because of the three HR streak. (5x5 OBP)
Brent Hershey
1:25
CES; the long-term upside is the highest. If it clicks like it did this weekend, could be special. "IF"

Is spending 400 of my 1000 FAAB on Jac Caglianone a wise move. I only have like 420 left, but I am in 10th place and am lacking most in the category of RBIs and HRs and this seemed to be the last hope for me to grab an impact player. Won't have any FAAB left after, except for some emergency $1 injury replacements, but my thinking is that this FAAB $ won't help me much if I get any further out of contention, and with few more impactful players left to come up who could potentially make a difference for my team.
Brent Hershey
1:26
Risky, but I can see it in a situation like this. Just remember the downsides that we've experienced so far with guys like this, even just this year - Paris, Kurtz (until he go hurt), etc. Really tough to know how they will adjust to MLB pitching.

Brent: rode out the George Kirby injury in a few leagues.  Started him out of the gate, got burned, and of course I sat him yesterday.  Has he turned the corner or too early to tell?
Brent Hershey

Would think that 14 K is enough for me to stay "Corner: Turned"
