Keep one, all at same value (last round pick, 10 team points): McLean, Misio, Tolle, Keaschall
Justin Mason
12:25
McLean and it isnt that close

Who is one guy that you just are avoiding this draft season? And one guy who you keep ending up with?
Justin Mason
12:26
I am staying away from any guys with injury issues in the top 50. The guy I keep ending up with is Parker Messick. I think he is very undervalued this year. Good command and control and with an org I trust in terms of development.

Okamoto ADP is currently 159.  I'm snatching him a round or even 2 before that in Bestball.  Am I too bullish on his role in this lineup?
Justin Mason
12:27
I dont think you are. I really like him. Good hit tool and should be able to handle the position. The power might not be amazing, but I think there are 20 homers there with a decent average in a great lineup.

Five player keeper, 12 team, points, OBP instead of BA. Who are the odd men out? Tatis, Crochet, Alonso, PCA, Riley Greene, Griffin, McGonigle.
Justin Mason
12:28
If it is win now, McGonigle is odd man out. Otherwise it's Greene

Hi Justin, in an 12-tm NL only keeper w/OBP, have three prospects likely to come up next year - which two do you like best over the next few seasons: Jett Williams, Benge, Caissie?
Justin Mason
12:30
I think I lean Williams here. All of these guys have flaws. Benge is mostly an accumulator that will have trouble finding PAs in NY, Caissie has a ton of power, but I think the strikeout concerns are real. Williams has contact concerns as well, but the fact the Brewers traded for him and his upside is enough for me to gamble on him.

What’s your outlook on Austin hays this year in Chicago?
Justin Mason
12:31
It's kind of a perfect landing spot for Hays. he will be a full time player in a decent park and while the team isnt great around him, that means he won't lose time. Just needs to stay on the field.

Do we think Brooks Lee has any fantasy juice in a dynasty points league as a 1 month stopgap to start the season or should I look to Moncada/McKinstry/Caballero?
Justin Mason
12:32
I like Lee, especially in a points league. I think he makes sense as a stopgap in a deep league

In a deep (SO deep) dynasty/keep forever league, I traded Steer and Rengifo for Gimenez and Wallner.  I really needed SS and OF depth (and had 1B and 2B to spare) but now I have buyer's remorse.  Did I do a very dumb thing, somewhat dumb thing, or not dumb thing?
Justin Mason
12:34
not a dumb thing. I do like Rengifo's landing spot but he could easily get hurt again or just replaced by Jett Williams. Gimenez is going to play and Wallner should on the strong side at least. I like it for a deep league.

I am out of questions! Send more!

Do you see much sleeper potential with Nolan Gorman this year or has that shipped sailed?
Justin Mason
12:37
Potential? yes, but there is so much downside too. He could hit 30+ bombs playing every day or he could strikeout so much he is in the minors.

Keeper question - 10T H2H, standard 5x5.

3 Keepers, 1 round inflation each year, no keepers from first 3 rounds.

Keeping: Elly (8th), JoRam (10th). 3rd spot is either Kurtz (9th) or C Sanchez (12th).

Our league massively undervalues pitching every year (hence drafting sanchez in 12th round last year), and I know pitchers are more volatile than hitters, but I have to keep Sanchez right?
Justin Mason
12:39
J-Ram, Elly, Sanchez for me

what do you expect out of reid detmers back in the LAA rotation this year?  I feel like he's being undervalued this year
Justin Mason
12:40
He has never been able to be consistent as a starter. I think they should have left him in the bullpen where he excelled.

A trade was accepted in a 10-team H2H no limits keeper. The trade was James Wood/Bubba Chandler/Sheehan for Pasquantino/Kirby. The commissioner is asking people to veto because he feels the trade is unfair. Is this a bad trade? I don’t have a problem with it, but maybe I’m missing something? Thanks.
Justin Mason
12:41
No trade should be vetoed unless there is collusion. This is fine

I have a theory that k’s and ratios should be actively sought out more so than wins and saves. Since both SP and RP get k’s/ratios, I’d prefer to try and win those categories and just hope for at least middle of the pack in the wins/saves which are so team dependent.  Do I have any legs here or am I overthinking?
Justin Mason
12:43
I think you are on the right track, but you cant ignore wins and saves. Think of it more like win potential and save potenial. Is the team good enough to provde the type of support to get a pitcher a win? The Yankees pitchers are going to get more wins than the Marlins pitchers, so dont get overly cute. Skills are the most important thing, but context of where those skills are just as important.

12:43
when do you expect Konnor Griffen to make his mlb debut?
Justin Mason
12:44
I am torn to be honest. I think he is potentially a generational talent, but the Pirates have a lot of reasons to not start his clock. I think he is up midseason, but if he mashes in spring, he could make this team

What do you expect from Roki as a starter or does he end up in the pen or even in the minors?
Justin Mason
12:47
I think we still dont know who Roki is. The dodgers should give him every chance to be a starter and I think he should be successful enough to stick there. Maybe he isnt a star like Yamamoto, but I think he will be a decent mid rotation piece and as the Dodgers 4 or 5, that's pretty fantastic for them.

Are you seeing any late round pitchers that aren't getting drafted consistently that probably should be?
Justin Mason
12:49
Pitchers going outside the top 350 that shouldnt be: Kikuchi, Painter, Mahle, Reynaldo Lopez, Max Meyer, Salde Cecconi, Zach Eflin
