Happy Valentine's Day. What's your favorite holiday?
Kevin Goldstein
1:11
I'm a big Thanksgiving fan. Just get together and eat. That's it. That's the holiday.

Do you think prominent, high-earning players like Scherzer care at all about minor leaguers, or is it like, "I did it so you can too."
Kevin Goldstein
1:11
I think most of them care.

With places like Asheville Visalia etc  how much do teams discount performance?
Kevin Goldstein
1:12
They certainly all have an appreciation of the various ballpark factors.

How long do you think a typical, roster-filler minor leaguer sticks around in the minors before calling it quits?
Kevin Goldstein
1:13
More often than not, the game is going to end that type of player's career before that player chooses to.
Ok, just a few minutes left . . .

You answered an earlier question about minor leaguers and fair treatment. What, in your mind, would fair treatment look like?
Kevin Goldstein

Housing and expenses paid for, and decent salary to start.

Is there a dollar limit as too how much cash can be included in a deal?
Kevin Goldstein
1:15
There is not, but MLB must approve any deal that involves a cash transaction.

How much college baseball will you watch?
Kevin Goldstein
1:16
A truckload?
Andy
1:16
Hypothetically, what if the involved cash was more than owed to the player? Anything diff there?
Kevin Goldstein
1:16
MLB approves cash as part of a deal because they don't want players/contracts simply being sold.
1:17
(It still kinda happens at times).

Do front offices consider entry level applications from people with arts backgrounds?
Kevin Goldstein
1:18
Depends on the position.

How much do free agents weigh a franchise's history or reputation when deciding on a destination? Or is money most important most of the time?
Kevin Goldstein
1:19
Repeat player to player mantra. Some really care about location/franchise/etc, and some just want to biggest dollar amount.

Ok folks, gotta run, but I'll be back next week. Thanks for all the great questions!
