What are your thoughts on Tyler O’Neil
Brad Johnson
1:52
He's volatile
His last two years are perfectly illustrative of what to expect
you should pick him when you have some early mistakes on the hitting side and could use a bailout around pick 100
1:53
If I'm feeling good about the roster, I'd take Seiya instead
And I'd take Buxton over both

Regarding SP prospects (after Painter), who do you feel has the higher upside: Pfaadt (ARI) or Gavin Stone (LAD)?
Brad Johnson
1:54
The reports I have on Stone aren't very enthusiastic
Pfaadt interests me a lot more
Stone seems like he'll inevitably be used in that classic Dodgers swingman role.

Any chance that Sean Bouchard in COL plays himself into regular at bats? Dude was rocking some crazy OBP in AAA / MLB last year.
Brad Johnson
1:56
Never say never, but they'd have to be willing to use Grichuk a lot in CF to fit him in the lineup
It's so hard to assess Rockies late-bloomers. Seems like they always wilt.

Should people start buying Jose Gerardo? He crushed dsl 11hr/18sb and plays cf.
Brad Johnson
1:58
I put out some inquiries. I haven't found much of value in the past by scouting DSL statlines. At least not in a breakout sense.

1. Trea Turner, Phillies SS/2B 2. Aaron Judge, Yankees OF 3. Ronald Acuña Jr., Braves OF 4. Jose Ramirez, Guardians 3B 5. Julio Rodriguez, Mariners OF   Does this look about right?
Brad Johnson
1:58
Yea, you can mix and match from that group and Ohtani if it's daily moves
Brew City Suds
1:59
Is it worth keeping Framber Valdez in the 6th round for a 12 team dynasty league?
Brad Johnson
1:59
yes
Adm. Ackbar
1:59
Which ARZ rookie SP are you most confident in having fantasy impact this year?
Brad Johnson
1:59
Probably Drey Jameson. Just seems to be the most actualized. Not to say the others, especially Pfaadt, don't look poised to break through

With the balanced schedule this year causing so much more flight time per team, do you envision ML baseball following the minor leagues idea of playing 6-7 game series as opposed to the 3-4 game series of today?  Seems to make a lot of sense.
Brad Johnson

I don't, but I do think we'll get an east/west split in the next 10 years. Whenever they get around to loooooooong overdue expansion

LHH OF Question: Kyle Stowers or Nolan Jones. Who is the better fantasy producer in '23?
Brad Johnson
2:00
Jones seems a far better play to me
2:01
Stowers is a tough one to assess. He has the pieces, it comes down to breaking ball recognition.
And by that, I mean the pieces of a Schwarber-ish ceiling with a second division starter median

Does Ricky Tiedemann have any fantasy value for '23 or is this a look to '24 stash.
Brad Johnson
2:02
I think he'll debut, health allowing. Seems good enough to hold his own immediately.
Wrapping up btw

What's your over/under number on Jordan Westburg AB's for '23?
Brad Johnson
2:02
400ish?
I'd say more, but they have so much depth and didn't actually make an effort to contend.
2:03
I thought I had a pulse on them, and now I'm confused

dynasty league. Would you trade andres giminez and Carlos rodon for Corbin burnes? I have jazz for a second baseman already
Brad Johnson
2:03
You're missing a player in return.
Which one
2:04
I can only keep one, Which one should I keep, Steer or Montero?
Brad Johnson
2:05
Not sure which Montero you mean, but I'd probably lean Steer anyway. Just for opportunity.
KC Guy

Hi.  What do you think of Michael Massey's value in fantasy?  I think he could be a 15-15 guy with a decent batting average.  I think he gets overlooked.  Thoughts?
Brad Johnson
2:05
He's a nifty player in the Joey Wendle mold. Can quietly accrue production without ever really going nuts.
