I'd probably just start him.
MLBTR’s

Skenes and adolis garcia for elly de la Cruz. Who says no?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:33
Maybe no one...But I'd rather have the Skenes side
CF
11:34
Who do you prefer ROS: Harris II, Buxton, or James Wood?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:34
tough without a clear timetable for the hammy but I'll still say  Harris
Injured Prospects
11:35
I've got an empty spot on my roster. Would you rather stash Caminero or Dominguez. In my league Caminero has 3B and SS eligibility, but I've got Gunnar and Abrams as my 3B and SS. At CF I have Buxton, Carroll, and Michael Harris II
Nicklaus Gaut
11:35
given your team context, I'd rather have Dominguez
CJ Abrams
11:37
What's my trade value in 10 team 5x5 with OBP instead of AVG and QS instead of W?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:37
top-30ish hitter

Projection for JD Davis in the Bronx? I just threw in the towel on Eloy, I’m desperate for any lifeline here thanks to JRod’s power outage…
Nicklaus Gaut
11:38
Depends on the schedule/# of LHP on the books
he'll be tough to use from week to week but he can still do plenty of damage vs LHP
but you'll want to avoid using him against RHPs

When is it time to downplay ROS numbers by putting major emphasis on the current season? I even feel you should go so far as to primarily look at the most recent 60 days. April was a long time ago and things change - like the weather. My league drafts replacements just monthly and if drafted you must play - no real bench. Plus, a player must be on the 26-man roster to be selected. Love your chats.

The time is about...now
11:40
We have almost three full months in the books and that enough time to really start discounting April stats if they're remarkably different (to the good or bad) then what's happened in May/June
I generally take April stats with a massive grain of salt
11:41
And thank you for coming to the chats!

What is Elly de La Cruz’s trade value in a redraft? He’s such An odd player to evaluate
Nicklaus Gaut
11:42
He is odd, thanks to his general whiffery but at this point, you can't value him any less than a top-10 hitter
Soto's Mojo
11:43
Is Juan Soto healthy? He's cooled off (relatively speaking) since we found out about his forearm trouble.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:44
He's healthy-ish but it does seem to be playing a factor in the cooldown.
11:45
In an ideal world, he probably would've taken a short trip to heal it up but I don't think it's serious enough to keep hampering him ROS
11:51
Thank you for whispering...I think you-know-who is
11:52
Really, really good June - .294/.351/.471, cut down on the whiffs too
Now we must shut up!

11:52
Well speak softly ... is you-know-who slowly sorting it out? Shhh, quiet.

Josh Lowe's Highs
11:54
I'm a big believer in Josh Lowe. Is my faith misplaced and does Lowe get dealt by the Rays?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:54
I've always had a hard time with guys who are a sink vs LHP. Especially on the Rays, who'll never give those types a chance to get better
11:55
A trade would be ideal, in my eyes - at least then we could find out if he can figure out how to be capable of hitting lefties

AL-only keeper league. I have Torkelson, Jeffers, and Siri on my bench, which means I'm forced to keep all my starters active (which is why I have Lorenzen lined up to face the Brew Crew tonight).  Should I drop one of those guys off my bench and grab a reliever so I have some flexibility?  Note that we have (QS + W/2) as a cat, not just Wins, so dumping Lorenzen is not the obvious move here.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:57
I'd drop Jeffers if you've got a low-worry guy starting at catcher

11:58
Is Heliot Ramos the real thing?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:58
Real but not quite as spectacular as he's been
11:59
or as Teri Hatcher has been

An added comment to the Royce Lewis injury worries: when he went to minors to get ready for activation he stole a base in 1st game, then management took control and instructed him not to steal. It seem that has carried over to the Bigs, so I, for one, am more optimistic he’s going to extra careful to stay healthy. Fingers crossed, as he’s a monster!
Nicklaus Gaut
11:59
Keep 'em crossed!
