Always wondered about how the seemingly bad blood between Pittsburgh and Cincinnati was seen in the locker room. Lots of beanballs on both sides for a lot of years.

Honestly I believe it was the game policing itself for a while until Chapman hit Cutch up by his Head and I believe that is where it really took a turn.
10:35
I love old school baseball mix with the new age. Let the guys play and they will figure it out one way or another. We won the wild card game and sent them home that was a sweet victory and Im sure a gut punch to cincy

My son is 9 and has gravitated towards catcher. I never played catcher but I'm all for it. Any advice for a young catcher

Fall in love with serving your teammates, Listen more than speak, ask questions, and lastly focus on mobility and being an athlete.

PNC....then ????
10:37
Michael---you have the honor of being in the probably the best, outside the historic, ballparks in baseball.  Other than PNC---which ballparks are your favorites to either be at or play in???
AvatarMichael McKenry
10:38
You got that right PNC is a little slice of heaven. I had the best seat in the house or at least I thought when I caught now being apart of the broadcast... The view from the Booth is Epic

Colorado was incredible because one its Colorado and also the weather and ski was always wild to see. St. Louis and the gentlemens game feel it always had. But Camden and Wrigley were the two I felt like a little kid at

Hey Fort, thanks for doing this.  What do you think about the lineup that the Buccos will be putting out for 2023?  Barring no Spring Training injuries, it actually seems....somewhat decent?  I know the pitching leaves a lot to be desired, but they might be a bit friskier than most expect.

This team with just a little growth from the youngsters is going to surprise a lot of people not to mention we are going to probably have one of the best triple a teams in the MILB (talent wise) in the last decade.
It reminds me of the 2017 Durham team that I was on and we won the national championship and the rays were fighting for a wild card spot

The Fort is still productive... no questions getting through

With all of the roster moves that go on, is there a lot of players loyalty to a team? Or is it more of a transactional relationship?
AvatarMichael McKenry
10:45
Its honestly hit or miss and why wouldn't it be.. I believe teams like the Braves are doing a great Job... They have a balanced staff of new age approach guys and Old school guys that are open minded, they rewarding young players, and they are giving chances to players
10:46
You build trust and loyalty over time through repeated actions, and I hope that happens more and more through out the league

Hi Michael. Thanks for taking the time. Who is the best pitcher you ever caught? And who is the pitcher you had the most fun working with?
AvatarMichael McKenry
10:50
Howdy and no problem really enjoying all the thoughtful questions. A knuckleball pitcher was tough through the minor leagues. Jorge De La Rosa had some of the best stuff I caught. Mixed with some of the bullpen guys with a wipe stuff that I always enjoyed cathcing
Karstens and Morton were the most fun but for completely different reason
10:51
Catching Karstens was like catching a whiffle ball game in the back we would do anything to win and never knew what was coming next
10:52
Morton was absolutely nasty and an amazing person. Preparing for the game and seeing him compete. Made it an honor to be back behind the plate

What was harder: getting to the show, or trying to stay there?
AvatarMichael McKenry
10:54
Trying to stay there for me but not for any other reason than injuries. The fight and climb to get back both times one in 2014 and the other in 2016 was taxing, but I wouldn't change a thing.  Those rehabs and injuries made me who I am today and Im thankful for them, and the lessons learned through them

What's the hardest part of learning a new pitching staff?
AvatarMichael McKenry
10:54
The organization without question
10:55
The person and the personality didn't come into thought often enough. The best way to get to know a staff is to get to know the person then the player.

Any news on Yankees attempts to solidify that last OF spot?!?
AvatarMichael McKenry
10:56
Im sure they are all over Cherrington trying to get Reynolds Cause he would fit great there, but it would take a Brinx Truck of prospects to get him pin strips.
Also he looks good and is one of my favs on the bucs
Traded!!!
10:56
Michael, the first time you were traded---how exactly did you find out?   Were you pull into an office?  Woken up by a call in the middle of the night?  Saw your name on the bottom line on ESPN?   Can you explain how that process of that works on the human side of things, please?
AvatarMichael McKenry
10:57
They took me out of the game in spring I went to the bullpen and my wife actually told me because he phone was blowing up because it was leaked
10:58
After the game was called into the office and was officially told I was trade to Boston. Was emotional because the Rockies were all I knew.
Then went and got a pump in the weight room said my goodbyes and headed to Flordia to finish camp with the Red Soxs
