My daughter works in Seoul. How does that area compare to big cities in the US?
Josh Lindblom
12:24
Seoul is HUGE! It's like New York City

Looking at my signed Josh Lindbloom Phillies ball in my office.
Josh Lindblom

Awesome!

Do you have all of your rookie cards?  What was your most prized baseball card you owned in your youth?
Josh Lindblom
12:25
I had a friend that bought all of my cards and framed them for me. It's a special piece of memorabilia.

I collected Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio cards when I was younger!

Funniest baseball experience in Korea
Josh Lindblom
12:25
There were some pretty funny translation mistakes that were made.

I moved from the US to the Netherlands, did you teach your kids about baseball or did they play in Korea? How did you find the experience if they did?
Josh Lindblom
12:26
They have been around the game their whole life. They were too young to play baseball in Korea. There are a lot of great leagues all around the world that you should be able to find

Thanks for this time! How about Clayton Kershaw when you played with him?
Josh Lindblom
12:27
Clayton is one of if not the greatest pitchers in the history of the game. What separates Clayton for me is the person that he is. that will be his greatest legacy.

When you were pitching in Nashville, you were having a good season and the Brewers needed pitching help yet you weren't recalled. Was that because you weren't on the 40 man?
Josh Lindblom
12:28
My performance was all over the place last year. Early I was good. Middle of the season I was horrible. Late I was good. I probably wasn't a reliable option because of the inconsistency.

Thanks for this time! What do you think about the recent performance of Shohei Ohtani?
Josh Lindblom
12:28
Amazing, amazing talent. It is fun from a father's perspective to see kids want to be like him and know that it is possible.

How was baseball different between the MLB and the KBO
Josh Lindblom
12:29
The atmospheres were different. On the field, the game is the game. Off-field it was hard to adjust at times.

Biggest lesson from your career that you will take with you from now on
Josh Lindblom
12:31
The game never forgets it is a game...we do. I wish I had known this earlier. Sometimes as players, the game can consume your every thought. At the end of the day, it is just a game. It doesn't define who we are as people.

Did you play any part as a sounding board while Dylan File was making the the choice to head to the KBO this season? It seemed he was headed toward an even bigger role for the Sounds. Some of us found it surprising tho we are extremely happy for him as well.
Josh Lindblom
12:31
I have talked with Dylan a couple times. He is with a great team and has great people helping him transition. He knows he can reach out whenever.

Some guys go over to Korea (or Japan) and come back to the U. S. better players.  Is is the different training style or getting exposed to the differing ways of playing baseball or something else that helps them?
Josh Lindblom
12:32
I think guys figure out who they are as a player. In the US, sometimes it can be hard to find that because you have so many coaches helping you. Overseas, you become your own coach and have to know yourself very well.

Hey what's with retirement at 35? You're still a young man ha.
Josh Lindblom
12:33
Semi-retired. I signed a 2-year deal as our little league president. So I have that to add to my resume.

Any former MLB players in the KBO when you were there and if so, did you hang  out together?
Josh Lindblom
12:34
We did. I developed lots of great relationships with guys. There is a special bond you have when you play overseas. Brooks Raley, Merrill Kelly, and Darin Ruf all become close friends .

Would you ever consider going back to Korea?
Josh Lindblom
12:35
We definitely want to visit. I am not sure I would want to play though!
Joseph from Brewer Fanatic

OK, let's get real: Korean BBQ or Memphis BBQsmile
Josh Lindblom
12:35
Korean BBQ.

What’s the spread like postgame? Big difference between minors, majors and KBO?
Josh Lindblom
12:35
KBO is hard boiled eggs, luke warm milk, and some pastries.

Who was your favorite team and player growing up
Josh Lindblom

My favorite team was the Houston Astros. Favorite players were Jeff Bagwell and Roger Clemens.

Toughest MLB hitter?
Josh Lindblom
12:37
For me...random answer, but Corey Hart. I could never get him out

I know you weren't a "star", but did you ever sit back and allow yourself to say man, I did it. I realized my dream and I was one of the very best in the world? Or too soon?
Josh Lindblom
12:39
My wife and I had this talk before I officially retired. All I ever wanted to do was put on an MLB uniform and I did that. There is no shame in that. I set a goal and I accomplished it and that it something to be proud of.
