AJ Ellis...he's a real jerk. :)

As a former Brewer, what did you think of the name change to American Family Field? Most fans like myself still call it Miller Park, the BREWERS have to play at MILLER Park!
Josh Lindblom
12:10
Sorry AmFam, but I still call it Miller Park. Same thing with whatever the White Sox stadium is called now. That will always be Comiskey to me.

Do you like this years rules changes (pitch clock, no shifts, bigger bases)?
Josh Lindblom
12:11
I do. I think it will be good for the game. I think a lot of noise is being made about it and after about a month into the season, no one will notice it. It feels weird in the beginning, but I think players and fans will like the changes.

How hard was it to retire and what will u miss the most?
Josh Lindblom
12:13
It was easier than I thought. I was ready to be dad and husband. I am still around the game and players so that is nice. I think I will miss competing, but I won't miss having to prepare everyday.

Hi Josh! What was your favorite stadium to pitch in in the big leagues?
Josh Lindblom
12:13
Dodger Stadium, San Fran, St. Louis. Milwaukee.

Thanks for taking the time to chat! I think you’ve had a few ABs in the majors. Do you remember who you faced and were the ABs memorable?
Josh Lindblom
12:15
I would like to erase them from memory. Haha. My first ab was against Chien-Ming Wang he made me look like a third grader was trying to hit off him.

You were KBO MVP in 2019. What are your memories from that season Josh?
Josh Lindblom
12:16
Winning the MVP was a great memory, but winning the Korean series was the best. We lost the previous year and probably had a better team than the year we won it. So to come back the next year and win was awesome.

I was in the military and my job was a Korean linguist. My experience was that most Koreans appreciated that I took the time to learn Korean. You say you read, write and speak a little Korean. Did you find that the Korean people appreciated you took the time to learn the language and culture?
Josh Lindblom
12:16
They sure did! I always knew that if I tried to speak Korean they would give the effort to speak English.
Mike
12:16
How did you adjust to the Korean culture so well?
Josh Lindblom
12:17
Biggest thing was not comparing Korea as better or worse than the US. It was just different.

How big did your faith play a role in your playing career? And is religion/faith something that is opening discussed in the clubhouse or around the stadium? Do you know who the believers are and is there open dialogue regarding it?
Josh Lindblom
12:18
Faith has been something that has grounded me my entire career and allowed me to develop a more holistic perspective on why I play the game.

I’ve been to a couple KBO games, they are fun to attend as the atmosphere is like a party in the stands all game long! What were the biggest adjustments you had to make to be successful in the KBO vs pitching here in the states?
Josh Lindblom
12:18
The games are so fun! Biggest adjustments were with scouting reports and learning guys from scratch.

How comes you didn't sign with my BlueJays after pitching in Japan I believe?
Josh Lindblom
12:19
They were very close!

Obviously you've mentioned that you're unsure about what capacity to be involved with baseball, but have you given any thought to becoming a pitching coach in some capacity?  Seems like with your varied and wide experience along with how you've worked with analytics and your time in the majors, you look like a very interesting candidate for that on paper.
Josh Lindblom
12:20
At this time I haven't thought about it at all. I love that I still can impact some players in my current role, but also be at home with my kids and watch and coach them.

Which was the most beautiful Uniform you had ever weared ?
Josh Lindblom
12:20
Dodger home uniforms. I don't know how they get them so white!

How's your daughter Monroe doing?
Josh Lindblom
12:21
She is great! Thank you for asking. 6 and spunky. She runs the house...or thinks she does.

How was your time re-adjusting to the MLB in 2020? I'm sure it was hectic between coming back the MLB in general, as well as having to face COVID protocols. Thanks for all your contributions to the Crew these last few seasons!
Josh Lindblom
12:22
That was a crazy season for everyone. I think this is the first normal spring training since 2019 with Covid shutting down 2020 and the lockout.

Everyone was doing their best with the information they had

Who’s a player you looked up to/asked advice from while you were in your younger years in MiLB?
Josh Lindblom
12:23
I had great mentors and teammates. Jamey Wright was my catch partner. Aaron Harang, Ted Lilly, the list goes on an don

How bittersweet was that untimely loss in Vegas? Unfortunately, Boushley had what might have been his worst outing of his incredible season BUT you were slated for the Finals. Having watched you all season, I know you were ready for that moment. Are you at peace with not being able to pitch that Final?
Josh Lindblom
12:24
I am! Boz earned that start. He was amazing all season. Didn't love the playoff format in Vegas. If you give us a series, I think the outcome is different.
