Easiest route would just be to slowly progress to a six-man rotation later in the season. Given the lead that they have and the number of arms available to them -- assuming most of their current injuries recover -- it won't be hard to do.

You have no idea why Reyes is on a Major League roster because of his on field or off filed woes? Or both?

Both

How long a leash does Danny Espinosa have before he is either benched or released? It seems like the Angels have given him enough opportunity.

They have to be getting close to that point. His K% is at an all-time worst, and his batted-ball profile is a bit worse (fewer liners, less hard contact, more soft contact). He's shown a glimmer of hope in June and is playing good defense, but he'll need to continue this mini-turnaround if he's going to keep his job.

He's helped somewhat by the fact that the Angels' system is weak and there's no one immediately breathing down his neck. (The Halos weren't interested in moving Yunel to 2B this offseason and probably are less inclined to do so now)

Do you see Judge slowing down, or competing for the Triple Crown?

No one sustains a .430 BABIP, no matter how hard they hit the ball. But he's striking out less than I thought he would (still a lot), and the power is obviously very legitimate. Given his strikeout tendencies in the minors and in last year's debut, my expectation was that he'd K in about a third of his plate appearances -- but he's about five percent less than that thus far, and his improvements in his approach are genuinely impressive. He's a monster.
In short: I don't think he's going to be a serious batting title contender, but he's still awesome.

If you had to talk about baseball for 24 hours straight in a filibuster, could you do it?

Give me the opportunity.
And a boatload of coffee.

Am I buying or selling? Nelly and Robbie aren't getting any younger.

Don't have to make that decision for another six-plus weeks, thankfully. I expect that they'll be adding pieces, though.

any short term fixes for the nationals' bullpen?

They called up Trevor Gott yesterday, which could help them out. But they'll add at least one, probably two relievers via trade.
