It is unfortunate to have the Astros in your division.  Barring catastrophe, the Angels just aren't overtaking the Astros.

Do you agree with Keith Law that the Dodgers wouldn't trade for Realmuto, because he's a terrible pitch framer?

Huh, that's an angle I had not considered.  He is really bad at that, I see!  Well, I didn't think the Astros would sign Chirinos for that same reason, but here we are.  But Chirinos had a very light acquisition cost.

True or False. Hal Steinbrenner is a cheapskate. George would be so mad if he saw what he is doing.

I don't know how the Yankees arrive at their player budget.  But I do agree that George would not be having any of this.  And that offseasons were more fun for hot stove fans when the Yankees acted irrationally.

I think the Ellsbury & Pujols contracts (amongst others) are the reason teams are reluctant to go 10 years, 300 mil on Manny and Harper.  Further I think thats smart.  Give em a higher salary for a shorter term.  Personally I don't want either one on my team.

Well, Ellsbury joined the Yankees as an injury-prone 30-year-old.  Pujols joined the Angels as a defensively limited 32-year-old.  Bryce and Manny are in the prime of their careers and your two examples definitely were not.  Stuff about Bryce's defense or Manny's immaturity mostly seems like nitpicking to me.  I can't imagine being a fan and thinking those guys wouldn't increase my team's chances of winning.
Well, that's it for me - thanks for tuning in.
