I wouldn't really pin it on his batting average, but Puig has a chance to be the summer's best available position player (more defensive value than Castellanos or a Jose Abreu).  However, he's enigmatic and I don't know that every team will see him as a fit.  I think the Reds should be able to get some kind of top 75 prospect or the equivalent young player in a deal.

What ever happened with the free agent contest? Did it close without Kimbrel/Keichel signing?

I think it makes sense to try to wait those two pitchers out before closing the contest.  Here's the leaderboard:
Regardless of whether they sign, we'll close the contest when the season ends.  Anyone who hasn't signed will be excluded from the results.
