I was pretty down on him when I did my March power rankings, mostly based on his 2018 season, but if he can bang out 35 HR again I think he would be looking for 5/100+, especially as a Boras guy.  But even Boras should definitely start with the Cardinals right now, because they just gave Mikolas and Goldschmidt FA prices (or better) as if the events of the last two offseasons never happened.

As a career .250 hitter, what would a Vladdy extension be worth?

If the blue jays are in the wild card hunt come mid July to they make a push for pieces giving up prospects for proven player or not make any moves to persevere the farm

I don't think so.  The Blue Jays showed this offseason that they don't really care about winning in 2019.

You gonna miss RAB?

Absolutely.  It was the best independent Yankees blog out there: http://riveraveblues.com/
Both Mike Axisa and Joe Pawlikowski wrote for MLBTR, too.  It's a shame, but I can see how blogging can become a grind of a hobby in some ways.

He’s destroying baseball and you’re helping.

Baseball attendance is down because .There are vey few younger people going to games when I go I am 64 and feel like a teenager compared to those sitting around me. When I go to baseball card shows everyone is older then me I think the kids are turned off by baseball. My son and his friends who is 27 will only go if its a dollar beer night here in Vegas, They don't know anyone playing or care its a social event fo them. Baseball needs to trim the prices for tickets ,parking and concessions. I can only afford 2 games a year way to expensive for a family of 4 to go. Soon it will be 1 game ayear I like good seats downstairs that is the big problem along with pace of play. To many relievers Agree or not?

Fair to say that today's youth is not nearly as interested in baseball as young people were in the past.  There are certainly kids keeping the torch alive but the fact that there is so much competing for their attention will never change or go back to the way it was.  Imagine if there was no internet...it has created so many things for young people to do.

Now, the idea that going to an MLB game is simply too expensive: absolutely, and that is something that can be changed, but I don't know that the owners would do it.  A lot depends on whether a fan can afford to pick their spots - I'm sure you could get a club box seat at Wrigley for $40-50 if you pick the right game and buy last minute, and if you don't care about drinking beer and eating garbage food at the game, you could make it a somewhat affordable experience.
Gotta run, thanks for chatting everyone!
