Grayson just gets there IMO. Sale could; I don't think he has an innings limit of any type ... but I'll bet on the body that's 11 years younger if it's A or B.
My name is Judge

What are the odd Aaron Hicks provides decent value in an AL OBP league? Trout hasn't been the healthiest guy in the world
Brent Hershey
12:49
Well, neither has Hicks, right? I'd say 15-20% because both are brittle. But yes, Hicks is an OBP asset if on the field.

5x5 NL only 12 team league; 11 keepers; without context, am I worth keeping at a salary of $21? And would you keep my teammates Tanner Scott at$ 10 and Hoerner at $9 or extend them by adding $5?
Brent Hershey
12:52
Caste right on the cusp I'd think. I'd probably pass. There's no way I'd extend Scott, though could see keeping him at $10. But if you have another keepable saves source, I'd probably throw him back.
Hoerner, OTOH, I could see extending him to $14. Still young, developing team, definite SB asset that should remain. Not a slam dunk, as you'll get more than your $s worth at $9 this year, but definitely keepable.

I have Judge as my starting CF this year, assuming he qualifies early.  As a backup I can get Suwinski, W. Abreu, Siri,  K. Kiermaier, or A. Thomas.  Suggestions?
Brent Hershey
12:53
Suwinski, then probably Siri. Though league detail context matters.

Thoughts on Wilyer Abreu as an OBP prospect
Brent Hershey
12:54
Could work; seems to be trending that he'll make the club.

Hi Brent, in a 12-team mixed league scoring SOLDs, do you have a favorite reliever who will rack up a lot of innings with great ratios and holds?
Brent Hershey

Matt Strahm

In a deep dynasty league which Marlins SP's, other that E. Perez are worth targeting?
Brent Hershey
12:55
I'm taking a shot on Ryan Weathers

Who is the best bet for saves in the short term between -Brebbia, Leasure, Gott, Sborz
Brent Hershey
12:55
Leasure, then Sborz
Porcho Villa
12:56
Who would be your top 3 in 5x5 QS (12 team): Pepiot, Kikuchi, Civale, Pivetta, Canning
Brent Hershey
12:56
Good list; have drafted them all. Pivetta, Kikuchi, Canning

DeLauter or Foscue for last minor league OF spot?

Hi Brent! 1) After a very weak spring with the bat, how tenuous is Kelenic's hold on a starting job--would a slump push him to the bench or AAA?
Brent Hershey
12:58
I think worst-case, he gets platooned w/ Duvall at least for a month or so. Trusting the Braves on this one. Not sure AAA is in play, as he's crushed that several times. Gotta figure out the majors right now.

Are you a fan of Christopher Morel? Could we see a breakout this season?
Brent Hershey
12:59
Semi. Power metrics are silly; all gonna be about the playing time and ability to make contact

Lawler, O. Cruz, T. Turner over next 3yrs in a OBP league where SB are downgraded?
Brent Hershey

Turner; best track record.

Are they just making more catchers? Is this quirky or is this trend going to stick? Every team this season has a catcher I expect they will be keeping, the first time ever, decades. So my freeze deadline question is how long of an LTC ($5 per add) do you put on Sir Adley Rutschman, $1, he who sat on my farm for years after learning of him when he popped on the radar of the Minor League Analyst? Thanks for that, too.
10Tm AL-only 5x5 (one catcher) keeper league.
Brent Hershey

Yeah, I'd extend Adley to at least 11 and not worry about CA for what, three years? And he should beat that value each year.
Thx for the MLBA props! Awesome to hear

Dynasty - 6x6 add OBP, QS for W, add IP.  Took over worst team so trying to rebuild looking for 3yr turnaround.  Have Caminero, Lawler, DeLauter, Mayo, O.Cruz, B. Naylor, C. Keith, and Vinny P.  Which OF should I target looking 3yr down the road?  I'll worry about pitching later.
Brent Hershey

Langford or Crews assuming 'normal' FYPD candidates

Bednar was listed to throw a bullpen last Friday but have not seen an update on how that went. Is he likely to begin on DL?
Brent Hershey

Still up in the air; have not heard anything else either

If I drop Kirilloff, will I regret it? I keep hoping he will stay healthy and reach his potential, but I'm running out of patience.
Brent Hershey

Likely no. And don't beat yourself up if so.

good morning, thanks for the chat, as always.  NL Scoresheet league...need some pitching depth to round out my rotation while I wait for Scherzer and Kershaw to return...and while I can't tell you everyone who has been drafted in our league already, perhaps you can provide some guys who you think will win the 5th starter job right out of spring training or will shortly after.  I'm thinking guys like Kyle Hurt,  Tylor Megill, Michael Grove...etc.  Anyone else on the fringes that will be worth a draft?
Brent Hershey
1:07
Megill and Ryan Weathers

Do you expect N.Lowe (Texas) to get back to 2022 level or is last year more likely? Also, would you rather keep Casas or Vinny this year? Long term? Thanks
Brent Hershey

Lowe - last yr
Casas for both

With the new format, is there still a way to submit questions the evening before?
